I love what I do, and I never take a single person who supports me for granted. I’m fiercely loyal to the people I know truly have my back.
You may have seen a post not too long ago about me stepping away from headshots… more on that in a moment.
Pageants started for me because I genuinely wanted to help young women chase their goals and dreams. When I transitioned into photography, I honestly expected support from people in the industry I had supported for years. Instead, I learned that not everyone celebrates your growth.
I’ve worked hard to build relationships, open doors, and create opportunities, only to sometimes watch those same doors close when something newer or shinier came along. That part stings. It hurts when you realize what you thought was mutual support and growth maybe wasn’t viewed the same way by the other side.
That’s business, and thankfully God has always opened another door for me when one closed.
Still, I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve built. I’ve photographed just about every pageant system out there, countless headshots, and I’ve always given my absolute best. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside talented makeup artists, helping teach what works beautifully on camera, and watching many of them grow into successful photographers themselves.
Lately, though, things have slowed down — partly because I haven’t been pursuing as much, but also because life is shifting a little for me right now.
I’m slowing down out of necessity as I focus on a small health issue. I’m not quite ready to talk about it yet, but it’s in God’s hands, and I trust Him completely. If you have it in your heart to say a little prayer for me, I would truly appreciate it.
On top of that, we’re in the middle of a full kitchen remodel, so summer sessions are officially out of the question. My makeup artist team has also changed quite a bit over the last year. Shamail has retired from headshots, Mindy moved to Orlando, and Sydney is now working full-time as a physical therapist. Tiffany and Scarlett are still working, but their availability is limited.
But this isn’t goodbye. Not even close.
This fall, I’ll be launching the GoodWINgirl Experience — exclusive weekend sessions with only 2–3 clients per day, featuring Sydney, Mindy, and maybe a few other familiar faces I’m keeping under wraps for now.
I’m excited about this next chapter and what it’s going to become. Thank you to every single person who has supported me, believed in me, prayed for me, referred clients to me, or simply cheered me on along the way. I see you, and I appreciate you more than you know.
Be watching for the launch with dates this summer. ❤️
