If you like flowers, if you like adorable peeps, this is the post for you 🐣 The last photo is worth the scroll 😅

I've been feverishly planting wild flowers all through my property, including in my vegetable garden, and the fruits of my labor have been paying off. I'm also using a native blend for the area, and perennials, so fingers crossed next year is insane 🌼

And then, yes, we have my peeps. I got a flock of Plymouth Barred Rocks. Zoning ordanace? Not in agricultural zoning 🐥 Maybe goats next, but now chickens. And then there's this red rooster, a freebie. I don't know the breed, but man, he's been my buddy. He comes over quickly and hops right in my hand. I haven't picked a name yet, but I'm open to suggestions 😁

I've had this pregnant doe around my house for some time now, and today was the first day she's brought her TWINS out to eat. I have a beet block on the tree stump for her, but it seems I need to buy a few more now 🤗

Mother Nature brought in the 250th birthday of the United States with her own display last night ⚡

I was up late in hopes of the northern lights, but got an alert about this storm. I tossed my contacts back in and headed out at midnight. Well, today I learned solar storms can cause more intense lightning storms, and this one seemed to be true to that 🌩️
