Two years ago we streamlined our business into solely weddings (and the corresponding engagement sessions).

The one exception we make each year is the always-wonderful Indiana University basketball camps. We've shot them since 2015 and look forward to each of the annual events.

Over the course of a long weekend, IU hosts a kids camp and an adult camp. The latter allows the participants to play against former IU players, be coached by current IU players and experience the conditioning, training and "life" of an IU basketball player.

Every person we talked with (ourselves, included) was impressed with our new coach, Darian DeVries. He's personable, hard-working, proven and sincere.

Funny side note.... Camp came to a halt on Saturday afternoon for a couple hours to head into the Assembly Hall men's locker room, where on the big-screen we all watched IU football! I love that Indiana University has an alumni base that's committed to all the sports, and it was heartwarming to see a basketball-centric gathering enjoying every moment of IU football's success.

What a beautiful wedding day and story for Sonya and Jay.

They dated at Indiana University in the 1980's, but their lives subsequently took different turns. Decades evolved, but thankfully fate tiptoed in a couple years ago as they found themselves both again single....

For their wonderful love story's culmination, they decided to return to Bloomington to (finally!) get married on campus at IU.

The day was extraordinary.

Surrounded with family, friends and sssoooo many stories, their wedding and reception were flawlessly idyllic. The ceremony was in the Union gardens and the reception was in the Solarium and the incomparable Alumni Hall.

We adore them both -- and their families. They're making Zionsville their new home, but our door is always wide open to them whenever they come back to reminisce at beloved IU!

We had an insane spring season, and I'm while I always deliver wedding images to clients expediently, I'm woefully behind on staying on top of social media posts!

We absolutely LOVED sharing the gorgeous wedding day of Nadia and Marc recently!

They live in San Francisco, but met years ago in Bloomington, and were thrilled to come back to The Middle Coast for their beautiful weekend.

Nadia and Marc chose the exquisite Woolery Mill for their ceremony and reception. It's a top-tier wedding venue in Southern Indiana, and serves as such a wonderful photogenic background to already-stunning visuals.

Marc is a quiet, strong, introspective man who prefers the limelight be elsewhere.... Enter Nadia, who is simply as radiant and alive and buoyant a soul as I've ever met. She shines. Brightly. Every time I lifted my camera I was awed by her effervescent aura (as is everyone who meets her).

Nadia's dream sendoff was to have a full fireworks display to celebrate the remarkable day.... She's so sweet -- Before the wedding she asked if we could get "even one" image of she and Marc with the fireworks, "even if it's blurry". I promised her we would, and that the images would be terrific. We were delighted to deliver those to her!

Our lives are better to have shared such a perfect day with this special couple, as well as their families and friends. We're always honored to be able to deliver meaningful images to good folks. 🙂🍰📸🍾🏖

We're in full-swing on 2025 weddings, and having a great time sharing wonderful days with fun folks!

I always enjoy giving couples a smattering of B&W bonus duplicates on their wedding packages, and decided to post some of those, rather than the original images, for interest.

There aren't many venues where we've not photographed weddings, but this was our first at Timber Ridge, just north of Nashville. Terrific spot for a joyful celebration!

Bo got suddenly and unexpectedly transferred by his company to San Antonio just beforehand, so rather than a tranquil wedding season, he and Amy are quickly loading up their home and heading to Texas! In the immortal words of Ferris, life comes at you fast....! 🙂🙂

One of the best decisions we made for our business was to take more time off. As counterintuitive as it sounds (to Americans, at least!), we've found that the more we consolidate "a business year" into fewer months, the more well-rounded our lives have become.

Part of our right-sizing was cutting January and February from our business calendar. We love the chance to travel and explore and pursue hobbies in the winter, knowing that we'll relaunch with our busy Bloomington wedding calendar in March.

Bo and Amy will be our next wedding, next month in Nashville. Here, some images from our fun French Lick engagement shoot with the terrific couple.

Put your kites up in the blustery winter winds and take the opportunity to recharge your life, too.... In the past few years we've been astonished to learn that "the worst" months of a year can actually, in so many ways, be the very, very best.

We're always delighted when our couples tell us they've chosen Woolery Mill for their wedding day! It's stunningly beautiful, and the one-of-a-kind venue is very much a co-star of each memorable day.

Taia and Brian's wedding was breathtaking, in every detail.

In addition to the location and exquisite decor, there was a fantastic hot air balloon ride AND an elegant horse-and-carriage ride for guests! Combine these with amazing foods, fun music and dancing, interesting guests and a laughter-filled sendoff, this was a wedding that will always bring smiles in memory.

Taia and Brian, in addition to now being married to one another, also work together professionally with Taia's family! You can absolutely feel the extra-special bond that forges in their now-growing family. They're friends, family, partners and business owners, collectively, which is such a fantastic circle of trust, reliability and connection.

Another beautiful Southern-Indiana autumn wedding!

More-and-more couples are choosing to host their weddings at family farm locations, and it's always a friendly, comfortable vibe throughout the day (and evening's reception...!). 🙂🍻

Audrey and Kendall met while attending Indiana State University, but in their hearts they're most comfortable in rural, relaxed settings.... In so many ways their wedding day was an homage to their heritage and corresponding time-honored traditions of small town country living. 👩‍❤️‍👨🍁🌽🍞🍉🍰🚜🌅💚

We're so proud of Emil Wakim in B-Town.

A legendary Bloomington comedian - and IU alum - we've had the joy of seeing Emil perform live at the amazing Comedy Attic many times. We've laughed uncontrollably at his brilliant wit and rooted enthusiastically for his successes.

We were thrilled to get the chance to collaborate with Emil. And we're thrilled that he's now earned a richly-deserved spot as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. Please take the time to tune in to see him, and, of course, when he next tours you'll have a FANTASTIC evening if you get the chance to see Emil perform live (though - full disclosure - you'll not stop laughing for a single moment!). 🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂
