At the beginning of June, I volunteered at my first event of 2025 - The Summer Social! This was a gathering of other volunteers, vendors, and general attendees of the upcoming Romantacy Gala in November to meet and mingle. I met some authors, got to see my friend , and enjoy some laughs with old and new connections. It was a blast being the ✨️official photographer✨️ for this event! (Thanks to !)

In honor of my mother, who passed away 28 years ago yesterday (11/9).

Stargazer Lilies were my mother's favorite flower. I remember we had a couple of them planted along the back of the house, and the scent was always strong but welcoming.
I had a couple stargazers in my wedding bouquet to honor her, as she had some in hers as well.

That's what I need to keep telling my perfectionist self. And just because it's not perfect doesn't mean it has any less value.

So here is a selfie from last month after I got my hair done. I'm aiming to get some headshots either for my birthday in December or in the spring!

Happy Mother's Day!

The Stargazer Lily is my mother's favorite flower and the sweet smell they have instantly transports me back to a child and seeing them grow in our backyard. I often also think how these colorful, bold beauties fit in perfectly with her wedding bouquet but was not outdone by her smile.

My mother has taught me so much throughout the years, especially in terms of knowing your self-worth and being true to yourself . She inspired my love of cooking and baking, which I am wrapping into my own traditions as well.

Losing her when I was only 5 has made Mother's Day a bittersweet holiday for me, but I'm grateful to still have my dad and now a stepmom.

So Happy Mother's day to all the moms, moms-to-be, mother figures, grandmas, aunts, ones who have lost a child, and all the people who have stepped up to play in the part such as dads, sisters, cousins, etc.!! You are loved very very much.
