This was one of those weddings I’ll never forget.

It was a massive 12-hour day—physically exhausting, emotionally intense, and creatively fulfilling all at once. There were moments of joy, moments of stress, moments where things got real—and I would do all over again. Because the truth is, you can't have the good without the bad. The struggles are what make the beauty stand out even more.

What made this wedding so special wasn’t just the details or the incredible venue—it was the people. From the first few conversations to the last hug of the night, I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be. The connections I made throughout the day felt incredibly genuine—like I was walking into a room full of strangers and leaving with lifelong friends.

It’s days like these that remind me why I keep showing up. Even when life outside of work gets tough—and it does—photography is the one thing that always brings me back to center. It continues to lead me to real people, real moments, and real happiness. It’s more than a job—it’s a lifeline, and it’s art that gives back.

Lately, I’ve been juggling a lot behind the scenes. But through it all, I’ve stayed consistent—with my health, my mindset, and most importantly, with showing up for myself every day.

It’s not always easy, but the work has been worth it. Because that self-love and discipline have made space for me to fully enjoy this job—and really feel how lucky I am to do what I love for a living.

This engagement session reminded me why photography is my passion. Capturing real connection, real joy, and turning it into something people can hold onto forever… it’s everything to me.

❤️ Abby + Chris | An Uno Love Story

📍The Landing on Division – Veedersburg, IN

Sometimes love shows up where you least expect it — like across a table at a kid’s birthday party, during a late-night game of Uno. That’s exactly how Abby and Chris first met: one spontaneous card game, lots of laughter, and hours of conversation later, something clicked. They grew up just 15 minutes apart but had never crossed paths until that night — fate knew exactly when to deal the right hand.

Since then, Uno has been their favorite game, and their love has been built on patience, kindness, and some truly epic FaceTime sessions watching The Office. Long-distance made them stronger, and trips to Wrigley Field, city adventures, and shared dreams of visiting every MLB stadium have made the memories even sweeter.

What I love most about photographing couples like Abby and Chris is the realness. They’re not afraid to admit they’ve faced challenges — like learning how to live together and communicate openly — but they’ve grown through it with intentional love and respect. Every day, Chris reminds Abby she’s beautiful. Every day, she checks in on him, often with a treat in hand. These little things? They’re the big things.

When you’re with them, you feel it — the way they support each other, laugh with each other, and protect each other’s hearts like it’s the most natural thing in the world.

✨ Amanda + Jon: A Love That Grew With Time ✨

Some relationships start fast — theirs took root slowly, in the quiet corners of everyday life.

Back in 2020, Amanda was working as a foster care caseworker when Jon joined the team as a file clerk. At first, it was casual — quick chats at work, shared laughs with mutual friends — but over time, those small moments turned into lasting memories. Water park days, movie nights, and evenings just getting to know each other laid the foundation for a friendship that would eventually grow into something much more.

After two years of being close friends, they finally made it official — and neither of them has looked back since.

💍 A New Year's Eve to Remember
On the final night of 2023, surrounded by family during their annual NYE bash, Jon had something extra planned. Amanda was mid-conversation when she heard Luke Bryan start playing and thought, “Jon’s got the playlist right tonight.” Moments later, he appeared around the corner, said a few heartfelt words about their journey together, then dropped to one knee. It was simple, sweet, and deeply personal — and luckily, captured on video by his stepmom.

🐶 The Life They’ve Built
From geeking out over LEGO sets and video games to working on home projects together, Amanda and Jon’s relationship is rooted in fun, creativity, and connection. Their dog Lydia is a huge part of their lives — and so is their shared love of movies, road trips, and just spending time in each other’s company.

One of Amanda’s most emotional memories? Returning from a long weekend at Disney to find flowers waiting on the counter, and two framed photos: one of her and Jon, and one of her with her late father. A small gesture that said everything about the way Jon loves — quietly, thoughtfully, and deeply.

🌟 What They Love Most About Each Other
Amanda admires Jon’s drive and protective heart — the way he shows up, ready to take on anything, and makes her feel safe in the process. Jon says Amanda pushes him to grow and always makes him feel grounded — “She’s my safe place.”

🌍 Dreaming Big, Together
These two love to travel — from weekend getaways to Chicago or Nashville, to longer trips with Amanda’s family. And they’re about to take their first international trip together — a honeymoon to Punta Cana, and Jon’s first time leaving the country. Many more adventures are already in the works.

🗝️ Their Relationship Secret?
They say it’s all about communication — learning how the other person listens, responds, and feels. It hasn’t always been easy, but through challenges (like that time a well-meaning family member tore up their front yard with a tractor!), they’ve learned to work with each other, not against.

From high school beginnings to building their first home together, Molli & Aaron’s story is one of deep growth, shared effort, and quiet dedication. Bailey + Tommy | Luthy Botanical Gardens & Peoria Zoo Wedding

Sometimes, love sneaks up on you in the most unexpected ways. For Bailey and Tommy, it started with a chance encounter at the Cherry Festival, thanks to a mutual friend. From there, they became best friends, shared laughs, and discovered all the simple joys of being together. Their story is built on friendship, light-hearted humor, and countless little moments—like the time they got lost on a nature walk and ended up laughing in the rain.

When it came time for their wedding, everything about the day reflected the essence of their bond. Their ceremony at Luthy Botanical Gardens was a beautiful celebration of their journey together—peaceful, genuine, and full of laughter. From the sweet intimacy of their vows to the celebration at the Peoria Zoo, it was a day that celebrated not just love, but deep friendship.

Bailey and Tommy’s relationship is about cherishing the small things: enjoying cozy nights at home, playing games together, and even having a favorite sports bar where they can unwind with darts and trivia. It’s in these daily moments that their love truly shines, and it was such a privilege to capture it all.

I had the absolute joy of capturing this beautiful love story through Complete Weddings + Events Central Illinois —and it’s the first of many, coming this year 😊

From the moment they met, there was a spark—something warm and real that made it clear they were meant to be in each other’s lives. Their relationship is full of laughter, shared strength, and a deep respect for one another.
