A photography session is meant to capture you. Not the outfit, not the background, or the new shoes. It’s about you, and those with you in the images. It’s the laughter that you hear when you look at them years later. It’s the smile thats so genuine and beautiful that it brightens up everyone around you. So don’t stress about what to wear, or having everything looking just right. The magic of the moment that we’re capturing comes from joy and love that’s inside.

These three kiddos had all the giggles, smiles, and even more energy! They were ready to snuggle under the blankets together. And I loved Mandy’s reaction when I asked her little brother and sister to give her a kiss on the cheek haha from shock to laughter to ok, that’s enough. She did great though, they all did! We got some great shots that their amazing mamma can always look back on and remember their silliness on this fall afternoon.

I’m always a fan of Buffalo plaid when paired with the colors of fall and a sweet toddler smile! Crazy it’s been a year already since Miss Shelby brought Rustyn to his first mini session as a newborn! I’ll always be grateful for the chance to watch littles grow through my lens and see my friends turn into parents.

~ Fall Minis ~ come see me on November 1st at Hidden Creek Nature Center for a fall mini session! It’s a half hour of as many photos as we can capture. Play in the leaves, explore the park, the bridges, relax on a bench, and remember all the love and laughter of the moment. Message me to book your time! And if the weather decides to turn, we can relocate to my home in Stanford with a fun fall backdrop and still have leaves to play in!

Pro tip- don’t stress about what to wear. Let your pickiest dresser decide an outfit they have in their closet, and then coordinate the rest from there! Have fun with it!

Bringing the fall vibes even tho the weather doesn’t want to lately! The Kramers explored Ewing Park with me and we saved the best for last going down in the creek. These girls are growing into amazing kids and little ladies. It was so fun getting to capture them and how they each explored the water, what treasures they found.

The Coe Family - another year of memories made and adventures taken. With a 6 and 2 year old, there’s never a quiet moment until bedtime. There’s always a game to play, the garden to check, a playset to climb, and so much more! It’s truly an honor to capture a small piece of it all year after year.

As the farmers harvest the field this morning, seems like a perfect time to share my latest addition to the Midwest Picture Market Gallery. Dandelion Sunrise- from a peaceful summer morning when the sun rose so quietly over through the horizon and brought with it the hope of a new day as it shined over the field. It’s a hope that more people pause to find the beauty in the little things, like the color in the sky. Hope like that of a child that sees a w**d not as unwanted, but as a possibility of a wish, a chance to make a dream come true.

Sunflowers and sunshine, I’ll say yes every time! As we wandered the fields and enjoyed all the beauty they held, we captured some memories too. From couples looking at each so sweetly, all the giggles as they did their first photo shoot together, to littles (or not so littles) and their families, it was so lovely to be there. I’d love to go back again next year for more mini sessions!

This cutie truly brought the summer vibes to her birthday session! Can’t believe she’s four years old already, and what a spunky adventures girl she’s becoming. We explored a fun new park on a beautiful morning, and her smile and silliness was shining bright! I know I’m holding on to this pure summer joy as long as I can!

This handsome sweet boy turns one tomorrow! He was a little shy at first, but we managed to get some smiles with peekaboo and the hot dog dance! When your baby turns one, it’s a milestone for both you and them. And it’s been amazing to get to see him grow since day one and watch his parents settle into their role of raising him.
