One of my favorite locations that so many of my clients choose for their portraits was greatly impacted by all the storms and rain we had this past week. 💦🌳

Thankfully, the water is going down, and electricity is back on for most of our area! 🙏

Many of my clients who have visited these locations—and I’m sure many others who simply enjoy our beautiful parks—will recognize this area. It’s hard to see a favorite spot looking like this, but thankfully the flooding is fairly contained, and we’re already seeing things slowly return to normal. Crazy to think a session a few weeks ago, this creek bed was DRY!

Hoping for some sunshine and drier days ahead! ☀️

After yesterday’s storms, so many of our local posts have been filled with pictures of damage, fallen trees, and updates from those who are still without power. My heart goes out to everyone dealing with the aftermath. ❤️

So today, I thought I’d share a little JOY instead. ✨

I just couldn’t narrow these down to only 15! Their Sunset Engagement Session came with 15 images, but they loved so many that she decided to add a few more—and I’m so glad she did! They now have all 25 of their favorites from their beautiful evening together. ❤️

I’m sharing the whole collection because there were just too many good ones to leave out!

A few nights ago, I had the opportunity to photograph an engagement session—and it had been a few years since I had photographed one! I have to say, I forgot just how much fun they can be. ❤️

They took advantage of my Sunset Limited Edition Session, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect for capturing this special season of their lives. The evening light was beautiful, but honestly, they made my job easy. They were so comfortable together and so much fun to photograph!

Because of his military service, they aren’t sure yet when their wedding day will be. So, being able to capture these portraits for them now, while they wait for that day to come, makes this session even more meaningful. These photographs will always remind them of this chapter in their story.

And I get to see this family again this fall when I photograph the bride-to-be’s sister for her senior portraits! I absolutely love when photography allows me to connect with a family through different seasons of their lives.

Congratulations to this sweet couple! I’m so glad I could capture a little piece of your love story while you wait for the next chapter. ✨❤️

There are moments that remind me just how quickly time passes, and this is one of them.

I first met this sweet family back in 2008. Since then, I've had the privilege of photographing them several times over the years, watching their family grow and preserving so many special milestones along the way.

When I first met Tessa, she was just a sweet little baby. Years later, I photographed her brother's senior portraits, and now it was finally Tessa's turn.

Her senior year was a busy one, so we waited until after graduation for her session—and I'm so glad we did! We were blessed with a beautiful evening, gorgeous light, and portraits that perfectly captured this exciting season of her life. In just a few short weeks, she'll be heading off to college to begin a brand-new adventure.

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer isn't just creating beautiful portraits—it's building relationships with families and having the honor of watching children grow into incredible young adults. It truly is one of the greatest blessings of what I do.
