For the last year, we’ve been working quietly on a project that means a lot to our team. When a century-old oak tree fell in our founder’s yard, we decided not to let it go to waste. Instead, we followed it from forest to frame — milling, drying, shaping, and ultimately turning it into a line of frames.

When a 130-year-old oak tree in our founder’s front yard was struck by lightning, it had to come down.

But instead of sending it to the chipper, we did what we do best—

We milled it. Dried it. Turned it into custom picture frames.

Another fun project we had the honor of designing and framing for WCAF 2025. Taping into our inner Leonardo da Vinci, we created this frame to pay homage to da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man illustration, and also showcase the ‘Metalia’ frame line by Larson-Juhl. Leonardo was known for writing backwards to disguise and conceal his ideas. Can you figure out the hidden message inside our frame?

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Amped to have framed this guitar for Tru Vue to be on display at 2025 in Las Vegas. Designed around a ‘Queen’ theme, this shadowbox has custom printed frame walls with the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody wrapping around the perimeter.

Masterpiece Framing + Imaging is proud to unveil a display of 32 century-old Masonic swords. Selected by the Scottish Rite Valley-Chicago, Masterpiece was tasked with designing, fabricating and installing a creative display for a collection of swords that, up until now, were stored behind closed doors in the Museum’s collection.

The design consists of two circular wooden components stained to match woodwork found throughout the building and trimmed with brass edge banding. The larger of the two circles spans 107 inches in diameter. Each sword was inspected, cleaned and polished by Masterpiece prior to getting attached at precise angles on the display. The swords radiate around a custom-made Masonic square and compass logo that was mounted at the midpoint of the display as a final detail.

When a customer brings in a jumbled box of random items and keepsakes, it’s our job to bring order to the chaos. This shadowbox project was a great example of how we made sense of a variety of Olympic souvenirs, and created a dynamic layout.
