Some wedding days just stick with you a little more than others. 🥹💜

One of my favorite parts of Marie’s day was watching her mom take in the fact that her daughter was really standing there as a bride. There were tears, smiles, quiet little moments… and so much love. 🥹🌸

Then getting to watch Marie and Ryan celebrate, laugh, dance, and begin this next chapter together made the day even sweeter. 💍✨

These are the moments I love capturing. Not just the posed pictures, but the little moments that let you feel the day all over again when you look back years from now. 📸💕

This is exactly what Love Remains Photography means to me.

The day passes. The flowers fade. Life keeps moving.

But the love remains. 💜✨

📸 MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER 🤍

Heyyy, I’m Melissa! 👋🏼 I realized I haven’t actually introduced myself on here in forever, so here we go 😂

I’ve been doing photography since 2010, but the reason I pick up my camera today is a whole lot different than the reason I picked it up all those years ago.

At 35, I became a widow.

I learned in the hardest way possible that you really can have someone here one day and gone the next. And suddenly, the pictures you’ve taken over the years aren’t just pictures anymore. They’re the way they smiled. The way they looked at you. The way they held your babies. The little moments you didn’t know would someday mean absolutely everything.

Losing my husband completely changed the way I look at photography. 🤍

Of course I want to give you beautiful pictures to hang on your walls. But more than that, I want to capture your people exactly as they are right now. Because kids grow, families change, life happens, and we never really know which ordinary little moments will someday become the ones we treasure the most.

So yeah… photography is pretty damn personal to me. 🤍

Now that I made everybody cry 😂 let’s lighten this up a little and actually meet the crazy lady behind the camera:

📸 Weddings & families are my absolute favorite to photograph.
😂 I WILL say something ridiculous to make you laugh. Awkward people are my specialty.
🤍 You don’t need to know how to pose. That’s my problem, not yours. 😂
👩‍👧‍👦 I’m a mama first, always.
🐓 I have entirely too many chickens…and will probably continue getting more. 😂
🎨 I’m crafty and almost always have some random project going that I definitely did not need to start.
📷 I love a beautiful posed picture, but give me the real laughs, little looks, tiny hands, chaos and in-between moments ALL DAY.
🤍 And my biggest goal is for you to leave your session thinking, “Okay… that was actually way less awkward than I thought it was going to be.” 😂

At the end of the day, I’m just a mom with a camera who knows exactly how valuable a photograph can become. And getting to freeze those little pieces of life for other people is something I’ll never take for granted. 🤍
