Brochymena is a genus of "rough stink bugs," characterized by their shield-like shape, mottled brown/gray color, and toothed edges on the thorax (shoulders). They are often mistaken for the invasive brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) but can be distinguished by their antennae (no pale bands) and hind legs (two white bands). These bugs are generally harmless to humans, often found on trees and shrubs, and are known to overwinter in homes, sometimes coming in with firewood.

Jumping spiders (family Salticidae) are a large, diverse group of spiders known for their excellent vision, hunting skills, and acrobatic jumps, using silk draglines for safety. They don't build webs to catch prey but are active hunters that use their powerful legs and keen eyesight to pounce on insects, often recognizing patterns and shapes. With over 6,000 species worldwide, they are popular as pets due to their curious nature and vibrant colors, though their bites are generally harmless to humans.

Not every love story needs perfect poses.
Sometimes it’s boots on pavement, wind in your hair, and holding onto your favorite person while life keeps moving. 🖤🏍️

This was his senior session; I allowed him to take the lead in determining the approach. I encouraged him to be himself, whether that meant being lighthearted, serious, or unconventional, and reminded him that the experience was centered around his preferences.

🌌 Journey to the Monkey Head Nebula! 🐒✨

Look up and let your imagination soar! This stunning deep-sky target is NGC 2174, affectionately known as the Monkey Head Nebula. Located about 6,400 light-years away in the constellation Orion, this glowing cosmic cloud is a stellar nursery where new stars are actively being born.

The vibrant red and orange hues you see are massive clouds of hydrogen gas, illuminated and sculpted by the intense ultraviolet radiation from hot, young stars embedded within the nebula. It’s a breathtaking reminder of the dynamic and beautiful processes shaping our universe.

Capturing these faint details requires patience, clear skies, and a passion for the cosmos. I’m thrilled to share this glimpse into deep space with all of you! 🔭📸

✨ Journey to the heart of creation! ✨

I’m thrilled to share my latest astrophotography shot, capturing the breathtaking beauty of the Orion Nebula (also known as Messier 42). Located over 1,300 light-years away, this stellar nursery is a massive cloud of gas and dust where new stars are being born. The vibrant colors you see are the glow of hydrogen and other elements, ionized by the intense radiation of the hot, young stars at its core.

Every time I point my lens towards the cosmos, I’m reminded of the sheer scale and wonder of our universe. This image, captured by Sensational Image Photography, is a glimpse into that cosmic artistry.
