One of my fondest memories growing up is going to my Mamaw’s house and flipping through multiple books of family pictures; family history. Even as an adult I go through them and memories start flashing back. To this day, it has become a favorite core memory. Now that I have a family of my own I now understand “you can’t turn back time” but my hopes with sessions like this is that you look back years from now as you have your family over and you pull out the photo book and start to reminisce with your kids of their facial expressions, the giggles you shared that day, the hug you gave your kids because you squeezed so hard, and all the things in between. These moments don’t last forever but the memories will.
Now, go tell your husband this is what you want for Mother’s Day. 😘

Mini sessions were a success! The anticipation and feeling overwhelmed in the planning process gets me every time. But we did it and I loved every bit of it. Many were explaining how they haven’t had photos taken in 5-10 years. My jaw drops because I instantly think how much a kid, your kid, grows each year. It’s too fast. So take the pictures! I’m still offering gift cards for the big holidays! 🔔🔔

I’m a sucker for a good love story.. When I first started hanging around Steph she would always tell me about her college days, fresh dates with Marty, how they lived and what brought them together. My favorite story was of their Christmas tree. Coming from 2 “broke college students” Steph was dedicated to making their house a home. She made every ornament from scratch. The pressed paper bags from the grocery store, the buttons left over from something she didn’t need anymore, every single detail came from her hands and her heart. She still puts that tree up to this day; more than 30 years later. Their house will forever be a home and filled with love. Marty roped him in a good one. Happy 30th anniversary to y’all!

Crazy to think that the new school year is about to be in full swing. We’re soaking in the last days, minutes and seconds of summer. As we start thinking about the new school year, the to-do list start rolling in and you know it’s about to hit hard! Senior year hits hard, and those are definitely the moments you want to cherish. The last “firsts” make you sit back and think of each memory that led you up to this moment. Those simple days…. Those not a care in the world days…. Those good days…. This is also a reminder to get those fall sessions booked. They fill up fast. 🤍

As the new school year makes it’s appearance, I take a moment and realize how much time really does fly by. We compare our kids “first day” pictures with the previous year and soak in all the memories in between. You take it year by year but once you have a senior it’s almost as if your brain says “whoooaaaaa. That’s it. Let’s just stop right here”. So parents, take all the pictures but be present. Cherish every memory that leads up to this moment. They go off into the real world but mom and dad are still a phone call away. Better yet, they are still on Life360. 😅

Happiest birthday to this sweet red headed baby! May this year bring you all the giggles and love. With it being Mother’s Day all I can do is just stare at my kids and think “wow, I did that.” I hold the responsibility of growing and raising a good human. It’s such a surreal and beautiful thing. I’ll forever be thankful that I’m their mom and I’ll forever cherish the sweet hugs, the “I love you’s”, the ups and the downs and everything in between. Happy Mothers Day to the super moms.🤍
