ā ļøā ļøThe 7th Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled that the government cannot criminalize the private, in-home possession of certain obscene AI-generated images depicting fictional children.ā ļøā ļø
AI has created a world where someone can take a real childās face or body and manipulate it into something sexually abusive (potentially without that child or their family ever knowing). Regardless of the legal technicalities surrounding this particular ruling, the fact that technology can be used this way should be concerning to all.
Iāve been very open about being against AI.
If you follow me on my personal accounts you will know that. There is always been a risk to posting children on the internet. As a mom Iāve always been so proud to post my own kids. I have pulled back a lot.
I receive many friend requests on many platforms from clients and i hate to deny them or ignore themā¦ but.. I like to keep some what of my life private. I can do all the things in the world to protect my babyās unfortunately i canāt do much for yoursā¦
What i can do is minimize my part of childrenās images on my photography page. This is something Iāve been discussing with other photographers for 2 days now. While this hurts business i donāt wanna be the reason some sick individual takes an opportunity from my pagesā¦
Iāve thought about going back in my group making it private cleaning it up where followers are watchedā¦ ive sat and thought of many things. Your childs safety means alot of me so i hope you all understand if things start to look a little different ā¤ļø
I will still be shooting family sessions and all kids things. You just wonāt be seeing so many photos of those faces and such. I hope you all understand
