Today, the world lost a woman whose legacy reached far beyond music.
Dolly Parton was the epitome of confidence—a trailblazer who knew her worth, embraced every part of herself, and never made herself smaller to fit anyone else’s expectations.
In 1978, she became the first country singer to pose for Pl***oy... and made the cover. She set her own boundaries—no nudity—and created something bold, playful, feminine, and incredibly classy. More than 40 years later, at 75, she recreated that iconic bunny look as a surprise for her beloved husband, Carl.
It reminds me so much of the women who have stepped foot into my studio. Many begin their bo***ir journey as a surprise for someone they love, but leave realizing they gave themselves an incredible gift, too—the opportunity to see their own beauty, strength, sensuality, and confidence through a different lens.
Dolly showed generations of women that we never have to choose between embracing our femininity and being respected. A woman can be sensual and sophisticated. Glamorous and intelligent. Playful and powerful. She can fully own who she is without diminishing her talent, her heart, or her worth.
Her music will live forever, but so will the example she set: dream boldly, love deeply, give generously, know your worth, and never allow someone else’s limited perception of you to become your limit.
May her memory continue to inspire women everywhere to embrace every beautiful part of who they are.
Rest peacefully, Dolly. Your light—and all those rhinestones—will keep shining. 🤍✨
