What do you wear for your upcoming session?
I feel like this is one of the first questions we have for pretty much anythingš¤£
We want to feel comfortable, but also cute, the most important thing you like ourselves.
When you see the photos you want to feel seen and known, and itās really hard to do that when youāre in an outfit you would definitely never wear on a normal day-to-day basis.
I would highly recommend thinking of where youāre taking the photosā are you outdoors? If so, you might wanna dress with more earthy colors. This can include some brighter colors, but just be mindful of any patterns because it could potentially look out of place depending on what it is.
Are you taking your photos in a studio? If so, this is where you can have a little bit more control over the environment and show up in the bright colored patterns because youāre going to have a blank backdrop that you can decorate up or down as much as you want.
Most importantly, I always tell my clients as Iām working with them to think of me taking a video of them not a photo so what you really want is something that has motion.
The whimsical feeling that youāre looking for while frolicking in a field is not gonna come from leather pants š¤£
Or for example, take a studio you can wear that pant suit that makes you feel like a boss, and so you can think to yourself how can I accessorize this? What is my hair look like because you can create movement through other things.
