50 years ago, a man had a dream and started a local business amidst a sea of competitors. Today, his two sons are carrying it forward.

I spent part of today behind the camera, listening to the story of a local business that’s been part of our community for half a century.

And what I love about stories like this is that there’s always more to them than the business itself.

There’s the person who took the chance and started it. The years of hard work. The changes along the way. The employees who’ve been treated like family. The customers who’ve enjoyed stepping in this shop for over 50 years. And now, another generation stepping up.

I can’t wait to share more of this one.

In the meantime, I’m curious. How many of you grew up working in a family business? And did you love it… or couldn’t you WAIT to get out? 😄

And despite the “Grandparent & Me” name, you don’t have to bring a grandparent—or a grandchild!

Come with your spouse, a parent, your siblings, or on your own. Tell a favorite story, share how you met, revisit a little family history, or record a message for someone you love.

You don’t need a script. That’s my part—I’ll ask the questions and help the conversation along.

For $199, your session includes:
