Happy 20th birthday to my sweet Lily Mae!

Twenty years ago today, I had no idea how completely my world was about to change. I still remember all the little details - the morning walk, making homemade cinnamon bread, the doctor’s appointment that unexpectedly turned into a hospital stay, the movie we watched while we waited for your arrival, the sweet nurses and doctors that helped welcome you into the world (thank you Mike for the epidural)…and then the moment they placed you on my chest and we met for the very first time.

I could not have asked for a better daughter. I am so incredibly proud of the woman you have become and love watching you find your own way in this world. I cannot wait to see where life takes you next.

No matter how grown you are, you will always be my baby girl. Happy 20th, Lily Mae. You are my whole world. 🤍

Happy birthday to this sweet boy!

It has been such an honor to photograph him throughout his little life - and especially special to spend the evening before his big day capturing this season with his family.

We chose a beautiful park with easy access and very little walking, yet plenty of gorgeous spots for portraits. Add in that golden evening light, and it truly felt like a little bit of magic.

Look at how much this sweet girl has grown! Not a baby anymore, but I’m sure she’ll always be mom’s baby.

One of the greatest joys of photographing families year after year is getting to watch little ones grow right in front of my camera. From those tiny baby details to the personalities that unfold with each passing year, it’s such a privilege to document each chapter along the way.

I photographed this sweet young lady at the beginning of senior year last September…and now she’s getting ready to start classes at UGA.

Senior sessions are such a wonderful opportunity to update your family portraits, too. Before the college applications, graduation celebrations, move-in days and suddenly much busier schedules.

Because senior year goes by so much faster than you think.

Forty deserves to be celebrated!

For her 40th birthday portraits, she wanted vibrant color, an urban setting and images that felt fun, polished and completely her. We photographed at the same Atlanta location where she would later celebrate her birthday, complete with a brand-new haircut, balloons, a cupcake bouquet and the most fabulous birthday cake purse.
