In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our very own Rob Griffiths is sharing a story very personal to his heart and our community. 🩷

In July 2023, Rob and his wife were blindsided by her diagnosis of Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Since then, his wife, Gina, has been receiving treatment from the amazing team at Henry Ford Assarian Cancer Center in Novi, Michigan.

Rob has been serving the local photo community at Woodward Camera throughout their fight against cancer, and we are so grateful for his kind and warming spirit at the store. To raise funds and awareness, Rob will completely shave off his beard at Woodward Camera on October 15th (the first time in 10 years!).

We hope you will join us for the livestream on the 15th (time TBA), and help support Rob’s fundraiser. Before and after shave content will also be shared in case you miss it.🧔🏻‍♂️📸 GoFundMe link is in our bio.

✨🖨 Print Week Countdown Tip II: Don't Crop Too Tight

Pro tip: Crop your image to fit the exact print size you are printing. Leave breathing room, and think about the print size before you export! Example: If you plan to print 8x10", crop with a 4:5 aspect ratio.

“Street photography had taught me that you cannot control an environment. You have to become part of the flow.”

Eolo Perfido () often describes street photography as a photographer's "blood sample". Put someone on the street with a camera, and their instincts quickly reveal how they respond when nothing is fully under their control. Taste, timing, attention, and even failure become visible, making street photography one of the most honest forms of the medium. In one of Leica's latest story, he shares how the Leica M EV1 has become part of his approach.
