AUGUST RECAP — my favorite post of the month. 🤍

Wedding season officially restarted, and it started BIG: an incredible day at Bryant-Denny. Two weddings, several engagement sessions, and a bachelorette party I got to host at my house for my sweet friend Kat.

Then a lake weekend in Tennessee with my sister and her family. Conner is that Uncle, the one who takes you out on the jet ski and does a million donuts in the water.

And fair warning: I take approximately nine hundred photos every time I’m around my nephews, so you’re going to keep seeing them here in my recaps. Sorry not sorry.

There’s something different about photographing a friend. Loren has been in my life a long time and getting to stand in front of her in her dress, at Venue at Oak Place of all places, one of my very favorite spots in Huntsville, made my heart soar. Every doorway in that house is good light and I used most of them.

Every groom tells me he doesn’t have any details. Then we lay it all out on the bed and it’s the cuff links, the watch, the shoes, the bottle somebody gifted him, his grandfather’s pocket watch he wasn’t even planning to wear. That’s a story right there. Your morning gets the same window light and the same attention hers does, because half of this day is yours.

Madalyn and Clayton got the most unexpected wedding crasher during portraits. This goose strolled right into the shot mid kiss like it owned the place. Didn’t flinch, didn’t rush off, just posed like it belonged in the wedding party.

Victoria and Rob’s session took us to two of my favorite spots. We started at Huntsville Botanical Garden, which might be my most booked engagement spot for a reason, the gardens are always so good to me. Then we headed to one of the best overlooks in town for that big Huntsville view as the evening wound down.

I love doing two locations and two outfits for my couples. It just gives the whole session more range and makes it feel more like you, not just one moment but a few different sides of your story.

So glad we got both with you two. Cheers to forever, Victoria and Rob.

Roll Tide and I do 🏈🤍

W & E said their vows, then partied the night away on the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. There’s nothing like standing where 100,000 fans usually roar and having the whole stadium to yourselves for portraits, a toast in the stands, and a wedding day you’ll never forget.

If you’re an Alabama fan getting married in the state, this is the stadium of your dreams. Getting to shoot a wedding here is a bucket list moment for me every single time.

July Recap 🩷

We kicked things off with a girls trip to the beach with my bestie k e y t o n b o n e b r a k e, sun, sand, and way too many good conversations. Then came a boat ride on the 4th with some of our sweetest friends while Conner was out of town, being the 7th wheel definitely has its perks 😂 My family threw me the best birthday celebrations (I am so loved, y’all), and then I got to hop over to Charlotte with my sister Rae Marshall to photograph the WIPA event!

After that my best friend Harlee, who lives out of state so I treasure every single visit, finally got to come see my house for the first time! Then Conner’s cousins came into town and we spent the weekend showing them all around Huntsville.

My washing machine got a serious workout keeping those guest bedroom sheets in rotation this month 😂 but I would not have it any other way. So much love, so many people I adore, so many memories 🥹
