Did you know a grown kangaroo is called a buck? 🦘⚾️

Neither did we until we got to work on one of our favorite branding projects!

The Hoover Bucaroos just wrapped up their final tournament of the fall, and we had the privilege of not only sponsoring this sweet team, but bringing their brand to life.

Their coach came to us with the name, and we had SO much fun running with it. Our local high school is home of the Bucs, so the Bucaroos felt like the perfect name for the next generation. We pulled in the traditional orange and black, gave our fierce lil kangaroo a pirate hat, and created a brand that's every bit as fun as the boys wearing it.

And getting to watch Grady and his teammates play all season in something we helped create? That's a pretty special feeling. Especially since Grady has officially become Brighten's favorite third baseman, a title she very reluctantly took away from Austin Riley (even though his poster is still on her wall) 😂⚾️

We love getting to do creative work that shows up in our own community, especially when it involves people we love.

Here's to the Bucaroos and a great fall season! 🧡🖤 Looking forward to what's next for this team!

You’ve heard us say that Bright & Gray is full service, but apparently that applies to your family, too 😂🤍

We’ve had the privilege of filming the Dawsons’ wedding, Elizabeth’s sister’s wedding, Ann Mile’s baptism and first birthday, and taking their family photos year after year.

And now we get to look back at where it all started.

There’s something really special about being invited back for all the different chapters of a family’s story. The big milestones, the little moments, and all the years in between.

We don’t take that trust lightly.

Carolyn Grace & Cameron couldn’t have picked a more beautiful setting for their wedding day. With Smith Lake stretching out behind them, gorgeous weather (until it wasn’t), and a celebration that felt equal parts relaxed and joyful, this was one of those days we knew we’d love capturing from the very beginning.

Set against the breathtaking views of Smith Lake, their wedding day had a little bit of everything. The water, the incredible scenery, and a couple who seemed to enjoy every second of celebrating with the people they love most. It’s hard to imagine a more picturesque place to begin this next chapter together.

And what made this one especially fun was how much personality was woven into the entire celebration. From spending time out on the water to singing karaoke inside the Glass House, there was this wonderful mix of laid-back lake life and genuine celebration that made the whole experience feel so personal.

The beautiful weather made the setting at The Barn at Smith Lake even more spectacular. From the light reflecting off the water to the incredible views surrounding the ceremony to the power outage during the first dance, every part of the day gave us something worth remembering.

So grateful we got to be part of Carolyn Grace & Cameron’s story, and even more grateful they’ll have these memories to relive for years to come. ✨
