We caught the cherry blossoms at the perfect time for the King family’s sweet session! 🌸 Literally just the next weekend they had mostly fallen from the trees!

One thing I kept thinking of while editing this session was how we are called to become like children (Matthew 18), to have that childlike faith, wonder, and trust in God. Over and over throughout these photos I saw these two precious little ones look with wonder at the world around them in contagious curiosity, resting without worry (although sometimes impatiently) in their parents’ arms.

How many times do we stop and admire with childlike wonder the beautiful things God has given us and allowed us to experience in this fleeting life? And likewise, how often do we with our limited understanding get so impatient in the waiting, even though He is holding us close to His heart the entire time?

Let my heart have the childlike faith that so pleases Him and my mind have that childlike wonder that is always filled with hope and expectancy for what God will do not only in my own life but in the world and people around me. ❤️

It was so great getting to hang out with the Dickerson family and all their kiddos for this session. It was sooo rainy but overcast days often create such pretty lighting so we made the most of the afterglow! ☁️🌟
