Do you worry when you have your photos taken with your older kids?

I feel you. Though I don’t have any kids myself, I have somehow surrounded myself with pre-teens and teens so many times in my life.

Throughout high school and college, I was a junior high camp counselor at - voted best counselor by my campers multiple summers.

In 2017, I nannied for 2 years for a freaking amazing family in Austin with two boys, starting ages of 8 and 11 (they suffered through so many photos with me 😜).

The beautiful family in this photo is another amazing Austin family that I babysat for frequently. Annnnnd babysat for their other friends with kids of the same age.

Basically all that to say, I adore kids. From toddlers to teens, they’re all precious (and maybe sometimes slightly annoying 😉) to me. And during our photoshoot together, rather than forcing them into poses they may not like, I encourage them (and you parents!) to let the inner child loose and laugh with each other a little - a much more relaxing approach to family photos than what we grew up with.
