My sweet friends, the Wood family, are raising money to adopt their grandson. Payton was born 6 weeks early with no prenatal care and with addiction. Weighing just 4 lbs 4 oz, he spent 19 days in NICU dealing with withdrawals. He was also born with bilateral hearing loss. While being treated in NICU his mother made the decision to allow his grandparents to take custody of him. They’ve had custody since he was released from the hospital. His smile and laugh are so infectious and contagious. He loves anything that has to do with a ball, especially baseball. He love the Atlanta Braves, Spider-Man, Paw Patrol and Monster Trucks!

A Night of a Thousand Wings Benefit Dinner 2026

This dinner is the signature kickoff event of GT World Challenge race weekend for Teal Wings of Hope. It was an incredible night with a lot of fun, conversation, and new knowledge gained in the world of ovarian cancer research.

Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and auction bid placed directly supports Teal Wings of Hope’s mission to fund groundbreaking research, advance early detection, increase awareness, and provide hope for women and families affected by ovarian and gynecological cancers through their partnership with UAB Gynecologic Oncology
