FIRST Stranger Session UPDATE because I fear I’m gonna have to start charging extra for emotional damage 😭

So I’m there. Camera in hand. Just doing my thing.
This one starts off GOOD.
Like… immediately comfortable. Laughing, walking close, not awkward at all.
I’m like
“okayyy this is gonna be an easy session.”
We’re shooting at this little outdoor spot. Cute setup, good lighting, everything’s flowing.
They’re sitting on a bench, talking, I’m snapping candids… it’s giving romcom montage energy.
Then......
His phone rings.
He glances at it.
Declines it.
Keeps talking.
I don’t think anything of it.
A minute later…
It rings again.
He declines it AGAIN.
Now I’m clocking it a little 👀
She kinda jokes like
“you’re popular huh?”
He laughs it off
“nah just someone being annoying.”

We continue.
I’m moving around them, getting different angles, they stand up, start walking… still good.
Then his phone rings a THIRD time.
This time she goes
“you should probably answer that…”
He hesitates… but answers.
And I swear I tried to mind my business.
BUT I HAVE EARS 😭
All I hear is....
A girl’s voice.
Loud.
Not calm.
Not confused.
ANGRY.
Like immediately angry.
I can’t hear every word but I catch...
“…you think I’m stupid??”
“…send me your location right now.”
I freeze.
She freezes.
He turns away like that’s gonna help??
SIR WE ARE ALL OUTSIDE 😭
He’s whisper-yelling now like
“not right now, I’ll call you later...”
And that’s when it happens.
She goes...
“is that your GIRLFRIEND?”
LOUD.
Clear.
No confusion.
I slowly lower my camera because… what do you even do 😭😳😬🫣
He turns around fast like
“no— no— it’s not like that—”
Phone still ON.
Voice still coming through.
“…who is that?? WHO are you with??”
The girl I’m shooting just stands there for a second.
You can literally SEE it click.
She doesn’t yell.
Doesn’t cry.
Just goes real calm...
“you didn’t tell me you had a girlfriend.”
He tries to talk over her...
“It’s more like a situationship."
SIR, THE GIRL ON THE PHONE THINKS IT IS MORE!!!!!!! 😭
She looks at me.
And goes
“are you getting this?”
I just kinda like.....🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
Because DO I KEEP SHOOTING???
Do I clock out???
WHAT IS MY ROLE HERE 😭🤦‍♀️
Then....
She takes a step back from him.
Looks at him.
Then says....
“you can finish that call.”
Hands him his own phone like he wasn’t already holding it 💀
And starts walking toward me.
I’m thinking okay we’re done.
Session over.
Pack it up.
NO.
She stops next to me and goes
“actually… keep shooting.”
👀 umm ok......
Turns around.
Stands there.
POSES.
BY HERSELF.
Like full-on main character moment.
I’m talking hair flip, soft smile, everything.
While he’s in the background arguing on the phone.
And I’m just
click
click
click
Because WHAT ELSE DO YOU DO 💀
After like 2 minutes…
She looks at me and goes
“these are gonna be my profile pictures.”
And walks off.
Doesn’t look back.
Doesn’t say anything else.
Just leaves.
He’s still on the phone.
Still arguing.
Didn’t even realize she was gone until like a minute later.
By then???
Too late 💀
