I waited all day for this moose to stand up. I actually gave up and started to walk out--I turned to look back a couple hundred yard down the trail and he was up! I'm not sure how many images I took, but if you follow my socials, you'll probably be sick of moose soon. 😂

Nikon was kind enough to loan me an 800mm f/6.3 PF lens to try out during a visit to GTNP. I really appreciated the sharpness and lightweight design. Shooting 800mm @ f/6.3 was a nice "upgrade" over my 180-600mm with a 1.4TC @ f/9. Interestingly, if anything, this lens finally made me see the true value of the flagship 600mm f/4 TC...time to start saving my allowance, I guess...

I am sorry for being away for the last ten days or so. I had a couple of other gigs to attend to. Anyway, I am still trying to pick through the FastCAT photos from the Big Sky Cluster with Electric City Kennel Club and Flathead Kennel Club of Montana. This also means I will be able to start processing prints and mailing them out for those of your interested in purchasing images of your AMAZING atheletes! Some of you only wanted digital images--and that's all right, too.
