From the Lone Star State to Big Sky Country.

There is something special about choosing a place that already feels like home before you’ve even started your life there.

Grace and Caleb traveled from Texas to Montana because next summer they’ll become husband and wife at Sage Lodge.

I don’t think engagement sessions are about practicing for a wedding day. I think they’re about remembering this season exactly as it is. Before the vows. Before the guests arrive. Before life changes.

Just two people who are wildly excited to marry each other.

In the middle of all the excitement of a wedding day, it’s often the quiet little moments that end up meaning the most.

The timeline moves fast and the day flies by. But these small in between moments are the ones that carry so much love.

One day, these photos become more than memories from a wedding. They become reminders of how it felt to be loved by the women who stood beside you through every season of life.

This Mother’s Day, I’m especially grateful for the simple moments. The ones that might seem small at the time, but end up meaning everything.
