Quiet on Set! 🤫📣
We've had the pleasure of having in the studio last month and this month working on video interviews for their clients! We can't wait to see the results!

came loaded with gear but opted to use our video lights and sound blankets to save himself a trip. He also used several of our v-flats to block natural light, add shadow & depth, and some of our reflectors and diffusers to lighten shadows in certain areas and soften the spread of the continuous lights.

A bright future ahead for these producers who are learning video lighting and interviewing skills from Jessica Plance. It's always incredible to have the younger generation in our space learning photography, video, and the creative professionals in general! Thank you so much Western Native Voice for providing this opportunity, and to Jessica for being their instructor!

Expanding Horizons Student Board Members worked on their first short film, "Brighter than Before" in Billings Open Studio on Monday night. They will be learning interviewing skills, lighting, camera equipment and storytelling throughout the summer and hope to begin filming soon. They hope to show the film in August. Stay tuned.

New backgrounds are here! Billings Open Studio is a great place to hold your (or your client's) birthday photoshoots! 🥳 Pictured here is the stunning ._meadows

We used our new purple sequin curtains for this editorial vibe to match her gorgeous hair!

The main light is our beloved Elinchrom 600rx with the big Mola beauty dish w/ grid

Back lights are our Amaran 300c & 150c lights set to various purple/magenta tones, bare bulb.

We used a slower shutter speed to mix the strobes with continuous and create a subtle but dreamy shutter drag effect.

Main light is our Godox sk300ii flash strobe with a beauty dish with a grid.

The fill light is another Godox sk300ii with a yellow gel over a reflector dish.

Twice a year you can find the evening sun sneaking in here at BOS, taking on the shape of the windows dragging across the floor and black brick walls. This rare sunlight pouring in creates a harsher, more editorial styled look. This is a great time to experiment, get colorful, use contrast to your advantage, and create some absolutely incredible images!
