For the past week, I’ve shared little pieces of something that’s actually been on my heart for much, much longer.

You’ve seen the wildflowers.
You’ve seen the light.
You’ve heard pieces of the story.
And you’ve watched me close a chapter that meant more to me than I could ever fit into one post.

Now you finally get to see what it was all leading to. 🤍

🌾✨ Welcome to Wildflower & Light. ✨🌾

This isn’t a new photography business. It’s the same business that started all those years ago when my husband bought me a camera because I wanted to learn how to take better pictures of my own family.

But as this business grew, I grew with it. Eventually, I realized the name I started with no longer told the whole story of what this had become.

I wanted the next chapter to mean something.

Wildflower is rooted in Matthew 6:28–30 — a reminder that if God so carefully clothes the wildflowers of the field, how much more does He care for us? We are deeply known, intentionally created, and never overlooked.

Light comes from Matthew 5:14–16 — a reminder that the light we’ve been given was never meant to be hidden. My hope is that this business, the work I create, and the way I serve the people in front of my camera will always reflect that light and point right back to God.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that came the words that now sit at the heart of this brand:

For the wildly loved and beautifully seen.

You are wildly loved — by the people beside you, the people whose stories are woven into yours, and most importantly, by the God who cares for you far more deeply than He cares for the wildflowers of the field.

And you are beautifully seen — because there is beauty in who you are, in the people you love, and in the ordinary, fleeting moments that make your story yours.

That’s what I want to notice. That’s what I want to preserve.

Country Lens gave me the beginning of a story I never expected to tell.

Wildflower & Light gets to carry it forward.

Welcome to the next chapter. 🌾✨

I didn’t know what I was building when I started Country Lens Photography.

It began with a camera my husband bought me and a desire to learn how to use it well enough to photograph my own family. Somewhere along the way, people began trusting me to photograph theirs, too.

And little by little, Country Lens became so much more than a name.

It held my first clients. My first weddings. The sessions I was nervous for and the ones that made me think, maybe I really can do this. It held late nights editing, lessons learned the hard way, families who came back year after year, babies I watched grow, wedding days I was trusted to preserve, and people who became so much more than clients.

It gave me room to learn—not only how to use a camera, but how I wanted people to feel when they stood in front of mine.

And somewhere in all of that growing, I grew too.

Looking through these photographs—from some of my very first clients to some of my most recent—it’s hard not to get a little emotional. 🥹 There are years of learning, growing, trusting, creating, and becoming tucked into these images.

Tomorrow, this chapter closes—not because I’m leaving it behind, but because I’m carrying everything it gave me into what’s next.

To every person who trusted Country Lens Photography along the way—from the very first ones who took a chance on me to the ones still trusting me with your stories today—thank you. You are part of this story, too.

What a beautiful chapter this has been. 🤍

Country Lens Photography was never really part of a plan. 🤍 It started when my husband bought me a camera and I took a few online courses simply because I wanted to capture my own family and our everyday moments. Then someone asked me to photograph theirs. I said yes, fell in love with it… and somehow, Country Lens Photography began.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing so many pieces of your stories — weddings and engagements, growing families, babies, seniors, couples, milestones, and all of the beautiful moments in between.

And somewhere in all of those stories, mine was changing too.

I’ve grown so much since I first started Country Lens — not only as a photographer, but as a person and a business owner. My work has changed. My heart behind it has deepened. I’ve learned more about what I want people to feel when they look at their photographs, and what I want this business to stand for.

Country Lens will always be such an important part of my story. It’s where so much of this began.

But somewhere along the way, I realized it was time for my brand to grow with me.

Something new is coming. 🤍

There’s just something about fall. 🍂

Golden evenings, crisp air, changing leaves, and that little bit of magic that makes this season one of my absolute favorites to photograph.

My fall calendar is already beginning to fill, and I have limited availability remaining for sessions this season. Whether you’ve been dreaming about updated family photos, celebrating a new season of life, documenting your senior year, or simply wanting photos with the person you love — now is the time to get something on the calendar. 🤎

Come as you are. Love on your people. Laugh a lot. Let the little ones be little. I’ll take care of the rest.

Fall dates are limited — reach out to reserve yours. 🍁

Let them be little. Let them pick the wildflowers. Let them squeeze each other a little too tight and laugh until they can’t stand still.

Because one day, these will be the photographs that take you right back to who they were together. 🤍

Wildly loved. Beautifully seen. ✨

Sometimes the sweetest moments aren’t planned. 💛

We stumbled across this little patch of wildflowers, and it couldn’t have matched her more perfectly. The flowers, the bandana, her smile… it all came together like it was meant to.

Senior year is full of moments that pass by so quickly. I’m grateful I get to freeze little pieces of it forever.

🌼 class of 2026, let’s tell your story.

Sometimes the best parts of a session aren’t planned.
They happen in the in-between… the laughter you didn’t expect, the way you naturally fall into each other.

You don’t have to know what to do or how to pose.
You just show up, and I’ll guide you the rest of the way 🤍

Because the moments that matter most?
They’re the ones that feel like this.
