I promise you, the answer is not having more money.

Every time you log onto social media, someone is selling you a way to get rich. Someone is telling you how you should be living, what you should be doing, and why you’re not doing enough. I get caught up in this all the time.

And if you’re not careful, all that noise starts to make you feel like your life isn’t enough either.

But what if the goal isn’t always more?

Maybe a simple, peaceful life is actually something to be proud of. Having enough money to pay your bills. A safe home. Healthy kids. People you love. Time to slow down and actually enjoy the life you’ve worked so hard to build… this is where I am right now.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting more, but don’t let the internet convince you that you’re failing just because you’re not constantly chasing it - you don’t need more followers, views, likes… trust me. I’m saying this from someone who chased it for a bit and it had zero improvement to my overall happiness in real life.

Sometimes, enough is more than enough. 🙌🏻

I just realized my short friend’s perspective since she filmed this 😂 thank you Bri Holland for always holding down the BTS content 🎥

I looooove traveling out west. Love it. But the local Gordonsville, Va rodeo that’s practically in my backyard… this is where it all started for me. Everyone is always so worried about shooting pro rodeo but this… this is what my account was built on and where there are so many stories to be told.

I’ve been using the local ones now to practice photography and honestly it’s killing me 😂 I leave frustrated due out of focus shots or knowing I’m just not where I’d like to be technically but know that it will come together one day.

This past weekend though I shot video again to just regain some confidence so we’ll see if I can get a good little edit together.

Also, I’m normally in a button down but this was before the rodeo and it was 92 degrees and humid so I waited until the perf started to get that on 🥵

We talked about Psalms 27 today and church so I wanted to share this with you all.

If you’re in a season of transition right now, feeling uncertain, worried about what’s next, or just wondering how everything is going to work out… I think Psalm 27 is something worth sitting with.

One part that really stood out to me was: “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be strong and courageous. Keep trusting Him.”

And honestly, waiting is hard. Especially when you want answers, you want a plan, and you want to know what’s coming next.

But maybe the point isn’t always to know what’s next. Maybe it’s to trust God while you’re in the in-between.

So if you’re in a season of transition too, take a minute and read Psalm 27. Let it remind you that you don’t have to have everything figured out right now.

God is still working, even when you can’t see what He’s doing yet. 🤍

Save for a daily prayer.

There are some things in my life that I can’t ever figure out why they happened. But one thing that has allowed me to strength my relationship with God is just putting my trust in Him and allowing my brain to turn those thoughts over to find peace.

I’m grateful to have found rodeo and be surrounded some people that truly walk the walk. I’m not talking about the performative ones… but those people that truly care about others and helping people in life.
