Pioneertown was built in the 1940's as a throwback to the Old West. It is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Just 2.5 hours from LA, and close to Joshua Tree National Park, it is perfect for a road trip destination.

I made my first attempt at astrophotography last weekend at Joshua Tree National Park. It was lots of fun playing around with with the long exposures. Also a great park National Park not far from LA. If you've never been, you'll definitely want to check it out. More pictures to come...

Enjoy your life exactly as it is right now. Be thankful for everything that you have. Focus on what is right rather than what is wrong. You never know when this season of your life will be over, so appreciate what you can while you have it.

Everything is bad, until it is worse. Appreciate the privilege you have, and everyone has privilege. There's nothing quite like walking the streets of Manhattan. There's an energy you find here, that is not replicated anywhere else. It's the people, the culture, the diversity, the movement. This shot was taken on a cool March night with some dusting snow that you can observe in the lights.

My favorite thing to do when traveling is walking. Whether it's along the streets, or hiking through the mountains, or barefoot on the beach, walking is the best way to get to know a place.

It was a great experience walking alone on the streets of TJ, a city I hadn't visited since I was in college. It's always interesting to me how life and culture differ city by city. Tijuana is a colorful city in many different ways, this photo is just one example. The best part of my walking trip was stopping at a taco cart along the street and eating the best tacos I've ever had.
