Birthday Challenge: When I visited the ruins of Pompeii I was amazed on how well it was preserved! Pompeii was an ancient city located near Naples in the Campania region of Italy. Pompeii, along with Herculaneum and many villas in the surrounding area was buried under 13 to 20 ft of volcanic ash in the Eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Late post: Tennessee Trip! Last week I had the pleasure of surprising my Aunt Jeanette Gilliam for her 70th birthday getaway in the Rocky Mountains! Seeing my family is always a treat! In addition my layover was in Dallas so I was able to have lunch with my Mom & Dad! What a win win!!!
Wow!! I’m so grateful to celebrate another year on this Earth! I started my bday month celebrating with friends and family in the Midwest & East coast, then back to Cali for a special weekend at the Spa, followed by a yummy dinner last night at my favorite restaurant! 🥰 Thank you so much for all my birthday wishes! I am grateful to have you in my life! 🦀♋️🎶🎵 The party ain’t over though!! Festivities will continue until 7/31!! Yaaaay!!!

8/10: Sunday - Sun Rise…… I caught this shot while driving to Vegas! It reminded me to appreciate that I have another day on this Earth to make a change….to be the change!
7/10: The ATL was a lot of fun! I was able to attend a gala, catch up with a dear high school friend and tour Moorehouse!
6/10: ‘What the world needs now is LOVE!’ It’s been challenging lately but let’s keep remembering to LOVE! ❤️ I took this on a trip to Vegas! Have you seen the LOVE piece yet?? 🙋🏽♀️ Created by artist Laura Kimpton as part of her Monumental Word Series, the installation, perforated with bird-shaped stamps, spells LOVE in steel Ruby red letters that rise 12 feet tall and collectively span 36 feet across! It’s massive!

I’m a huge fan!! I’m truly enjoying Janet Jackson. Documentary. 'The Forgotten Concert' is one of my favorite pieces I have captured. I was born in Hammond IN a few miles away from Gary.... or as the song goes, 2300 Jackson St! While driving down Broadway, I came upon the historic Palace Theater which closed in 1972. The mantel still read Jackson Five Tonite. Any other Janet fans out there??!!
