Born in the heart of Washington D.C. horse country, Jake Edmondson is a fashion and travel photographer. Over the past decade, his images have worked to capture the manifestations of human identity expressed through what they wear. This pursuit has led him to photograph people and places from the war-torn mountai

ns of Lebanon, to the winding streets of Tokyo, and across the US from Boston to Los Angeles. While living in Taipei Taiwan, his eye became inspired by the way detailed fashion complexity and elegance integrate within the architecture of antiquity and utilitarian modern construct. It is this context that often finds Jake shooting using environments as accents to expression. Jake developed his nuanced and recognized style through extensive study and inspiration from the works of Nick Knight, Patrick Demarchelier and the stunning talent of Zhang Jingna. Jake has equally devoted his life to science and intellectual pursuit towards cures for the sick – currently overseeing a large research portfolio at the prestigious Cedars Sinai Samuel Oschin Cancer Center in Beverly Hills, California. His passion leads him to collaborate with emerging and unusual artists under the notion that the polarizing effect fashion has on the changing world we live in.
