Hey friends! Dropping a 💣 here. After a lot of thinking and taking last year slow, I've come to the decision to step into a new chapter of my business' journey. I'm taking a hiatus from being behind the lens to focus on new dreams and goals. I'm sure I'll be back to it eventually.. I've always said photography chose me, and there's nothing I love more than creating with you all, so I don't see it sticking. But for now I'm going to be prioritizing some other parts of my life instead of going through another year of uncertainty. I'm proud of myself for the past 5 years!Running a business, no matter the size, Its not joke. and this is going to definitely hurt like crazy. SHP was and still is my pride and joy. But I also know that stepping back is the best decion for me right now! So this is me signing out of SHP indefinitely 😭❤️ I love you all! (also, this is a deeply personal decision that I'm not looking to share any further on so please no questions, I just wanted to be transparent and make an announcement of sorts for clarity)

2024 is finally and truly just around the corner! And I'm thrilled because I have some special wedding days coming up in 2024 with the most amazing amazing amazing couples ever (like my bestie Haylie 🥰❤️) and the most amazing vendors ever (sorry I don't have the time to tag you all 😅). Side bar.. How many times can I say amazing in one sentence.. 5 apparently 🤣.

Thank you to all of you who stuck around for me through 2023 despite my absence most of the time. I'm still not sure what my biz will look like moving forward into the new year but i'm just trying to cherish the connections it continues to bring me and give my all to those who choose me!

I have loved these two since the minute they stepped out of their car way back when they chose me to capture their engagement photos. I was there as they began their life together as Mr. And Mrs. last year, and now last night I had the honor of capturing the newest stage in their lives.. Parenthood! and let's just say I'm pretty darn emotional about it too 🥺❤️

I've known for a good many years. Over 10 years in fact. We worked at the same horse stable in highschool, where she became my first ever "client" outside of my family... and I captured her with her horse. Then in 2016, I captured her senior photos. Fast forward... Her and her long time love are now ENGAGED 😍 and we spent the windiest, most beautiful evening, together. There's nothing better than capturing memories for someone you know and love, but even better than that is when you get to capture that person with someone they love so deeply. The love that these two share is noticeable in every interaction. In the intimate in between moments of stolen kisses and things exchanged through just eye contact, to the belly laughs and the hugs. These two are truly a team and I was enthralled. The sunset at the end of the night was just the cherry on top.

Hey guess what! I'm just like you! No, I don't mean we have the same interests or the same personality... But we do have the same insecurities. It's part of what makes me so good at being behind the camera.. Understanding how rough it can be to be in FRONT of the camera. Whenever I'm shooting I get comments like "can you make me look skinnier! " or "you can just edit that out right?". And honestly.. That's relatable. We all have things we can nitpick about ourselves that we'd like to change if we could. But when I'm photographing you, I don't see you the way you see you. I see those features that make you YOU. I see the joy in your heart as you laugh at something that made you feel goofy. I see the way you carry yourself in those moments where you forget you're in front of my lens. Will you probably hate a few of the images in your gallery? Most likely! But will you also (hopefully) fall in love with yourself too? Probably!

I'm not in this business to just take pretty pictures, if that we're the case.. I'd stick to landscapes and nature. I'm in the business to capture the true beauty in YOU. In your LOVE. in your BRAND. I want you to feel comfortable and have fun despite any of those insecurities. And I can only do that for you.. When I put myself in your shoes.

So.. A big thank you to for letting me step into those shoes and feel a little uncomfy for a night, but also fall in love with myself just a little bit too. Because now I have a fresh reminder of what it's like for you to be you. And like I said.. that means we're pretty similar :)
