When metal meets myth. 🌳⚙️
This striking sculpture "Skin" by Julio Nieto ( )caught my eye in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona—its fusion of human form and tree branches feels like a frozen moment of transformation. Shot in 2015 outside the 14th Century Barcelona Cathedral, this piece reminded me how art can root itself in the past while reaching toward the surreal.

So, the clouds in Brooklyn really screwed up any chance of getting good shots of the Solar Eclipse. I captured 300+ images - mostly blurry cloud covered shots of the event.

I was shooting with a Sony A7Riv and a 200-600mm Sony OSS 'bazooka' with a 1.4x teleconverter. I had a ND100000 filter and UV filter on the lens.

My test shots of the sun, before the eclipse, came out great (no clouds then go figure).

Anyway, While the images didn't come out great, I was able to see it wonderfully and experience the partial eclipse with 🖤

Gonna have to chase another one someday ...

Another "found" image from my storage consolidation and cleanup. This is from a trip and I took to New Orleans for New Year's Eve 2024.

St. Louis No 1 was closed for construction, so we went to St. Joseph's in the Garden District, walked around and took a ton of photos that need to be culled through.

I love this city, there is nothing like NoLa anywhere else in the world. (This one or any other world for that matter).
