In a world where moments are fleeting and quickly forgotten, and most things are cheap and disposable, I find peace in slowing down and taking my time with film photography. Sure, digital photography is faster, more convenient, and easier to work with, but there is no feeling like looking through the viewfinder of an old 35mm film camera, pressing the shutter release and knowing it’s a good one, but not being able to see it until it’s developed.

These photos were taken on a family trip to Welfleet, MA (Cape Cod) over the summer.

I got my love for Weeping Willows as a small child from my parents. Every time they would see one driving down the road they would comment on how beautiful it is, and I have to agree. The way the slight breeze carries their long leaves, I believe, is poetry in motion.

This one, located in Boston’s Public Gardens, has had a rough couple of weeks along with the others after the recent Hurricane Ida’s strong winds tore some of its branches off. Still, it stands the test of time.

First photo post on the new page!!!!

This picture is super important to me because I’ve always loved the way the Erhu sounds in movies and TV shows. I had never had a chance to hear it in person until I was walking through the Boston Public Gardens and this gentleman was making some of the most beautiful sounds ever. Me, being addicted to capturing moments that are special to me, had to snap a picture to immortalize the moment and feeling.

I didn’t know where to start with the edit but then I remembered I was wrongfully teasing my friend about his consistent black and white editing style when I realized how much emotion and purity it brings out of images of people being candid, and how right he is.

This is by far one of my most favorite images I’ve taken to date, and I hope you enjoy it too!!

Hello friends!!

If you’re here this early you most likely know me in person. I’ve created this page after lots of pushing and prodding from those around me to try to take my photography to the next level. I’m not saying that this isn’t something I wanted to do, I just wanted to make sure my photography was at a place that I was happy with to be showing to a large audience.

So here’s to a new beginning, and an exciting journey that I’m so happy to have all of you apart of. Thank you for being here.
