After hours, when everyone has settled in and is completely relaxed, is when I can almost become invisible.

There’s something about nighttime at a wedding—the laughter, the dancing, the music, and all those wonderfully unplanned moments.

For me, photographing a wedding is about capturing every feeling, from the quiet, intimate moments earlier in the day to the joyful chaos of the dance floor.

Because every part of your wedding day is part of your story, and I want you to remember how it all felt.

I just tried to send out my seasonal email to all my subscribers and was told I had to verify my website again. And I couldn’t figure out how to do it. I’m technically challenged when it comes to the back side of websites. 😂

From the archives.
Miss my sister so much. She was my oldest sister. Full of wisdom, always offering up sound advice. She made up the best games for us to play- and was a fierce competitor in Monopoly. She raised three beautiful and smart children- who are all grown up and each doing their own amazing things. A true testament of what good motherhood is about. This was taken in California , maybe 1990. I had just embarked on a real photography career and love shooting black and white film exclusively.

There is something about a small town wedding in Litchfield County, surrounded by family and friends and all things that made the day feel special. It was relaxed, personal and full of love no big production. There’s something special about having a wedding at home. Just the people you love gathered together in a place that already means so much to you.

Summers last hurrah.
There can never be enough summer memories for me - yes, fall is perfect in New England, and winter is cozy , spring is full of hope. but summer? Summer is the best season to just be present, delighted, and full of dreams.

Happy September.
