Period Product Drive 2026

Have you ever heard of ‘Period Poverty’ before? Maybe, maybe not, but I am sure you know what the ‘Pink Tax’ is? If not, that is ok as well. Period Poverty is described as not having the means to purchase Period/ Menstration products. The ‘Pink Tax’, just for clarification, is the upcharging of Women's Hygiene Products compared to Men's similar hygiene products such as razors. JUST because they are for Women. So now that we know what both of those are, we also know that we are trying times financially right now. With some many people losing their jobs or benefits. Along with the people losing jobs, there are also smaller, more invisible groups who are also affected by ‘period poverty’. That is why EMPOWER xGnG is running this Period Product Drive to benefit three invisible groups during this time; teenagers, and those affected by the s*x and drug trade. For this specific drive we are preparing to donate products to a local Maryland(MD) High School for teenagers affected by ‘period poverty’. And also plan to donate the other half of the items collected to HIPS.DC*supporting those affected by the s*x and drug trade.

So that is why we are asking you to please donate to our Period Product Drive. We have created an Amazon Wishlist where all products can be purchased.+ We went with cotton products as recent research has shown that other pad types actually carry harmful chemicals to their users. We also included heating pads and pimple patches just for a little comfort during such a trying time in a Menstruating person’s life.

Happy 42nd Birthday and Mother's Day to me. And Happy Mommas Day to all the iterations of Momma there are.

This birthday, I come in months without an unaliving ideation. Still a body riddled with pain but leveling up again and pushing against it tough to show up not only for my family, others, but most importantly myself. I'm more present in my moments and seeing how I always find joy no matter what I am enduring. I also love me more and love that for and about me. I am going after my goals and dreams and coming up with new dreams to pursue.

I sure af know, that at 20 something. I never imagined living this long at all. So I am in such uncharted territory right now on what to do. But I do know I want to live, continue building and leaving my legacy, keep loving hard, keep saying my dreams out loud and expressing my mind outright. I was a strong little girl who led a hard life but found my way through. I hope the best for yall as well.

So here's the 42 and more loving and living and chasing dreams ✨️.

Today was a pretty good day. Boys kept me up all night. But I got a 3 babies, knocked out in bed with me this morning. Just kissing and cuddling them. Doug took Lili to the Zoo for a Daddy- Daughter Date, so I was with the boys. Then we came back and played in the yard. Funny, I told Doug all I want for my birthday is all of us working out in the yard together ❤️.

I also cooked breakfast a 2nd time this week, yay for me though pain. Lili wanted either Pop-Tarts or eggs for breakfast 2x this week. I said ok, I rather you have eggs and I have the energy to do it. So made cheese egg biscuits. Also tried mushroom coffee since decaf does nothing for me. I'm still awake, so there's that 🤣.

Being a Soccer Mom, unlocked a new level in me. I'm the only driver in our house. So if anyone has to go anywhere, it's usually me driving. And my pain was coming back in bad. But sad to myself, well I can't just lay in the bed because I am in pain when she has practice and games. So get up and go, lady. So I have been and been getting my pep back in my step. Working on somethings, I hope workout as well. And we have plants growing from the replanting. I'm excited for what little we get this year.
