Florida Woman Punches Highway Patrol Trooper She Mistook for ICE Agent — Faces Up to 20 Years.

Jennifer Cruz, a mother of four, punched a Florida Highway Patrol trooper in the face during a Jacksonville traffic stop after mistaking him for an ICE agent.

Court documents show she asked the trooper if he supported the “Nazis” (clarifying she meant ICE), then said she was “ready to fight.” She later told the officer she was sorry and “was not sure why she acted that way.”

Cruz faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
