Happy Fourth of July!!!! As most of you know we have a training program for people who want to work on the water! So I'd like to invite any LOCALS who are interested in a career on the water for a terrific salary, benefits and advancement:

We are going to have an informational meeting at 6:30 PM on July 16 at the Cape May Lewes Ferry in the café area. There is a great opportunity to work aboard tugs, ocean going tug-barge or on ships, but you have to have the proper training and that's what we provide! After training we help you to find your first job on the water. The average pay for a qualified deckhand is somewhere between $32,000 and $49,000 to start and usually provides benefits, too. Typically, the tug company provides equivalent time off to the time aboard your vessel. For instance if you are working a two week rotation then you work for two weeks and then you are off for two weeks. IT is HARD work and you live on board your vessel for your two week hitch. Some companies require you to work for four weeks and then only gives you two weeks off, BUT your pay is also 50% more than the other deckhands that have equivalent time off! One of the Best aspects of the industry is that YOU can advance as far as YOU want to advance. Most companies will pay for your advanced courses and you can move UP the Ladder as far as you decide.

IT requires you NOT to use drugs at all! It requires you to obtain a couple Coast Guard licenses and a TWIC card; which we will help you to do and this program will also require you to view educational nautical videos and come to hands-on training once a week.
