This last weekend was the big show. Fork & Shoe Theatre Co-op produced a show that I and Rose Carmichael directed. This show was performed in a small venue by trained actors. It is very closely based on the Commedia dell'Arte scenario #10 from the Corsini manuscript 651. It is a story about love and gender. It's a two hour show, but very much worth seeing. This weekend coming up April 24, 25, and 26, in Jamaica Plain MA, there will be a fabulous Commedia dell'Arte show that Fork & Shoe Theatre Cooperative is producing, and I am directing, with Rose Carmichael. Rehearsals indicate that this show will be fantastic, and you shouldn't miss it. If you have friends that are LGBTQ+ allies, bring them to see it. It will be a fun, joyful explosion of creativity, all following a 450 year old, surprisingly progressive outline.

"Who Do You Love" - A 450-year-old Commedia dell'Arte Comedy

I'll post links to promotional content for this when it is available. Fork & Shoe Theater Cooperative is producing a play that I am directing that will be performed in a new venue at 94 Green Street, Jamaica Plain, MA. There are 40 seats available per show.
Friday April 24th, 7PM
Saturday April 25th, 2PM (Matinee)
Saturday April 25th, 7PM
Sunday April 26th, 2PM (Matinee)
The play length is about 2 hours, with an intermission.
Music will be supplied by "The Goddam Brass Band".

Very limited seats will be available. I'll post a message here as soon as there is a link to reserve your seats.

This is a play which shows that there was a comfort with gender fluidity in late 16th Century Northern Italy.

I can tell you from the rehearsals that this will be a spectacular show, with a group of very energetic and creative young actors.

Last night, Le Stelle di Bacco did a great show with the help of Jecky and Bonathan (musical guests). This is their version of 'il Tesoro', play 71 from the Corsiniana collection.
They are energetic and hilarious. Spend the 42 minutes to watch it!

Hilarious comedy from a 450 year old play outline, performed by mostly teenagers. About 45 minutes.

I'm working through an old commedia scenario in which a nice man (Nicandro) is trying desperately to find a woman (Clizia) he's never met, but loves by reputation. She wants him to find her, but so far (end of act 2), no luck.
