Brant Photography Portraits, including Headshots, Seniors, Families, Class Reunions, Photo Copying, and Restoration

Since I retired from this business last year, I will probably be deleting this page this month. It has been great to have met and served so many over those 50 years and I miss it already. If anyone has an questions regarding photography, I may be able to help you. I dealt mainly with Canon cameras, and White Lightning and Godox flashes. You can contact me through my Bob Brant page.

The END of an ERA is Coming!

On December 31, 2025, Brant Photography will no longer be in business. I have been in business since 1975 and in those 50 years have photographed hundreds of weddings, and my favorite, Senior Portraits. I have also done quite a number of Copy & Restoration photos. There have also been a number of Family Portraits and with those, Children's Portraits. Also, within the past 10-15 years I have been involved in Headshot Photography and wished I had started earlier.

I have enjoyed working with people the most, and find it difficult to change that and start doing things like landscapes, wildlife, macro photography, but I guess that will be my next challenge as I want to continue to be involved in photography. There are probably other avenues to explore, so I'll have to see what comes next. If anyone needs some help with their photography I may be able to help you.

So, a big THANK YOU goes out to everyone that trusted Brant Photography to capture their memories.

I spent a chilly evening on Thursday trying my hand at photographing the lunar eclipse. After catching an image at 9:27 pm Thursday I went home and watched some TV. Darn if I didn't mess up and miss the beginning of the coverage. When I finally got into it I was surprised at how fast the moon moved. I was continually having to adjust the ball head on my tripod and it was cold. When I finished up at 3:27am my hands and feet were cold and the temperature was 38.

Saturday's Studio!
On Saturday I spent part of the day photographing the dedication of the "Humble House" log cabin which was built by the Berlin Area Historical Society (BAHS). This was a project I've been working on since the logs arrived on 9/5/23. I have over 110 photos.
Shown here are: 1-The finished Log Cabin. 2-Members of one of the families from whom one of the log cabins was purchased (the cabin was erected from two log cabins that were purchased. 3-Rev Dwayne Hay and Mary Ann Showers who gave the House Blessing, and Leanne Shober, BAHS President. 4-Greg and Judy Croner, who donated the land for the cabin, and some of the workers who erected the cabin along with other members of BAHS. 5-Music was provided by students of Berlin Area High School. 6-Part of the crowd attending. 7-Ruth Alice Lehman Saylor spoke about her family. She provided the financing of the cabin as a tribute to her late husband, Terry. 8-Remarks were given by PA State Rep. Carl Metzgar. 9-Ribbon cutting was done by Ruth Alice Lehman Saylor. 10-A couple of selections were provided by the Berlin Fife and Drum Corps. They were established in 1782 and they are the oldest such organization still in operation in the United States. 11-A line up of persons to go in and tour the cabin.

This was Saturday evenings Studio. I photographed Shanksville's Class of '69 for their 55th reunion. The location was Oakhurst near Somerset. They were placed in a corner of the smorgasbord room due to a small attendance. The room had low ceilings and my umbrella touched the ceiling and the bottom of it touched my head while looking through my camera. As there were no empty walls where I could place the group, I used the area in front of the rear wall of windows as shown. Photo will be shown later, here and on my Brant Photography page.

This is a photo from a class reunion of the Somerset Class of 1958. It was taken at the Coal Miners Cafe in Jennerstown. Due to the small room they were housed in there was no room to set up for a photo. The only room large enough was the main dining area and it was full of other diners. Therefore it was necessary to try to find an area outdoors and the only place that had some room was at the front entrance. It was fortunate that it was a small class as the space available was cramped. Shown is the space before and the final photo.
