Dominic Sberna Photography

Dominic Sberna Photography My name is Dominic Sberna and I see the world as a photographer. My name is Dominic and I am a photographer. I currently reside in Huron, Ohio.

I am originally from Bellevue, Ohio and it is there, that my photography got it's start. Photography for me started as a hobby while in high school and it has since evolved into something much more than that. I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Technology in Visual Communication Technology with a specific focus on Photography from Bowling Green State University. I choose to photograph many ge

nres of photography as I like to push myself and the limits of my work. Plus, I just genuinely have a wide variety of interests in photography or otherwise. If you have any questions about me or my work, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for taking the time to view my work. :)

The Pompadour Man - Burning Snowman Fest

A week ago, we celebrated at Burning Snowman 2026. The profile of what I am calling, "The Pompadour Man" can be seen in the flames here. Not often you see a pompadour hairstyle these days, much less in a Burning Snowman.

Two Burning Snowmen, One Similarity - Burning Snowman Fest

Left: Leroy - Burning Snowman 2026
Right: Floyd - Burning Snowman 2018

The memory of Floyd (one of my favorite shots from this event) decided to show himself in the dancing flames of Leroy. This was really cool to see again all these years later. I've always described Floyd as, The Evil Bird.

The Laughter of Leroy - Burning Snowman Fest 2026

Leroy sits upon his fiery thrown as he declares the end of winter whilst passing judgement on those who refused to witness his burning. He laughs maniacally at the puny humans who dare question his rule. He declares himself The Burning Snowman of 2026, as he parted from this world, waiting for his next of kin to born again from the ashes next year, only to meet the same fate.

Thank you to everyone that came out to support this great event!

Cedar Point Skyline in Winter

About a week ago, I dusted off my camera and took this photo at the request of another business owner I am collaborating with. When I was walking down the Meigs Street Pier, I was overwhelmed with the calmness and stillness around me. There were a group of Mallard ducks that flew overhead and I could hear their wings flapping. The calmness as the sun began to set with the deafening silence was an experience that I didn't realize I needed.

I may not like the cold, but I love the stillness of winter.

This classic photo that I took right around the start of my senior year of high school, is the oldest photo in the calendar this year. My 2026 calendar is a reflection over the years of how far I've come in my photography and a selection of some of my best and/or favorite photos around Ohio. They're almost half gone and we're officially a month away from Christmas!

If you'd like to get one for yourself or a loved one, you can either contact me directly or get them at www.dominicsberna.com

Hi ! Tomorrow is the big day at Sandusky Book Bar for their Fall Market event! I will be there selling calendars, post cards, and some other printed pieces for the length of the event between 11AM-4PM! I hope to see you there, but if you cannot make it, 2026 calendars are now for sale on my website at www.dominicsberna.com/shop

Hope to see you tomorrow and Happy Halloween!

Hi , I know it's been awhile. A lot of changes on the horizon, but I wanted to make a quick post, letting you know that I'll be selling calendars and a few other things at the Sandusky Book Bar's Fall Vendor Market on November 1st.

This is an easy way to save on shipping and get your calendars earlier than everyone else, plus you can come to the Sandusky Book Bar, which is a reason in itself to come out and see what's going on at the Fall Market.

Hope to see some familiar faces!

Last Glimpse of Iceland - 2014

Somewhere that I'm not even sure I could identify on a map, I took a last few photos of the scenery in Iceland before we departed towards Reykjavik. August 2014 was a lifetime ago and yet sometimes feels like yesterday. This is a photo that I've never shared, nor had it been processed until this week.

In one way or another, this small island country will retain a lingering effect on me and who I continue to be.

We've come to the end of my 2024 GABF photo project with a photo I took on Easter. I know I know, chocolate and Easter, really? Regardless, here we are with Viator Obscura | Triple Chocolate from Wandering Monsters Brewing in Cincinnati. Much as there always is with this project, there is a beer that is harder for me to obtain than the others. This is the one that I had to actually wait for to show up in a bottle release, so we made the trip down on the day it dropped. This is a brewery that has something for the whole family, so be sure to stop in because the food is good and so is the beer! Don't sleep on Bossie!

Commercial description: Our base imperial pastry stout, Viator Obscura (Latin for “dark traveler”), gets a complex grist bill with caramel, chocolate, and roasted malts before a 3 hour boil boosts our potential ABV and caramelizes the extracted sugars. Balancing hops are added to the boil and long, cool fermentation presents a smooth, chocolatey and sweet base stout.

Triple Chocolate is our GABF Bronze Medal winning variant that was conditioned on cacao nibs, cacao husks and cocoa powder.
