I have quite a lengthy questionnaire for brands before I begin creating their content library BUT the answer to this question is what remains at the forefront of my mind as the overall goal 🤝

There is SO much that goes into planning a successful event and hiring a professional photographer to capture every detail is CRUCIAL 📸 Here are a few things you’ll definitely want to ask your client in advance 💬:

1.) What will these photos be used for? Social media? Website? Print? This will determine whether you shoot vertically, horizontally or both, as well as what ratio you’ll crop to. 🙆🏻‍♀️

2.) Do you need candid, perfectly posed or a mixture of both? This tells you what lenses you need to bring with you. Documentary style calls for a zoom lens in order to go unnoticed and capture authentic expressions, while perfectly posed photos require you to work closely with the subject, in which case a zoom lens is not ideal. 💃🏻

3.) When do you need the final edits by? This will help you arrange your editing schedule and ensure no deadlines are missed 📆

What’s on your shot list? Hosts, talent, guests, VIP’s, staff , merch, signage, decor, venue, food and beverage, vendors, sponsors, products, performances, activities, etc? The possibilities are endless and vary grately from event to event but knowing exactly what’s expected provides you with a bullet proof check list ✅

In the thick of planning your next event? Let me know? 💃🏻
