2025 RECAP REEL
I approached some things differently this past year - making subtle changes to my thought process and workflow on set and in post-production. These things, whether noticeable or not, have made things refreshing and fun in new ways. From old school death metal to bluegrass / The Ozarks to my own living room, this year was filled with a great variety of projects, people, locations, and memories.
Similar to the last couple of years, this reel is a combination of videos that were shot, completed, and/or released this year. Some of these are older due to extended release timeframes, some are unfinished / unreleased and coming out next year, and some were previewed in last year’s reel but ended up coming out this year. There is also a couple of very recent ones that are still in production and were not included here.
Originally, for the first handful of years, I had been doing a ‘60in60’ type reel where I showcased 1 second of 60 different projects in 1 minute. Similar to last year, I’ve decided to let it flow and breathe more again this year. It’s on the longer side but these reels aren’t meant to be optimized for max viewership or anything like that. They are more-so a way for me to look back on the highlights of years past and to share that with anyone who’d like to see - I’d love for you to check out the full thing if you have a few minutes!
With the ever-changing landscape of social media, a lot of things this year were shot for vertical use only and are not included in this reel - I’m considering making another reel in vertical formats to highlight all of that shorter form stuff in addition to some highlights from this reel formatted for vertical.
