After shooting Cal Football the past 13 years, I will be covering college football for ISI Photos this upcoming season. I started the 2026 season photographing the game between UC Davis and Portland State. Next week I will be in Eugene for Boise State and Oregon.

GalleryID Desktop offers two ways to add player names into the photo metadata.

Index your headshots or reference photos. Run MatchID and facial recognition processes on your files locally. Names get added to the metadata fields you select in the template.

Don't have reference photos and do not want to manually type short codes into the metadata fields. Add a roster file to a folder and manually tag photos at the click of a button, no short codes to enter. Names get entered into the fields you assign in the template.

GalleryID Desktop is MatchID running on your own Mac or PC. You point it at the folder from your last assignment and it matches faces against the headshots you indexed locally. The photos do not leave your computer and there is no quota to watch.

Confidence thresholds decide what gets named without your input. Borderline matches wait in a review queue, and the built-in Roster Library gives you a names and numbers lookup to hand-tag from, so you are not digging through team PDFs.

When you deliver, names are embedded in IPTC and EXIF, with a sidecar for RAW. Send by FTP with optional resize and watermark, or export a ZIP.
