☞ Spring in a Teacup 古董杯裡的春天 ☜
一種與空間、線條和呼吸共存的美感練習。
這次的杯花課程，將結合 日本花道（Ikebana） 的留白哲學，與當代花藝自然流動的設計語彙，重新詮釋春日花藝的樣貌。以古董茶杯為器，劍山為底，讓鬱金香、洋牡丹與線條感植物自由伸展，在高低錯落與空氣感之間，感受花朵最安靜卻充滿力量的姿態。不同於西方花藝的飽滿，Ikebana 更重視「線條」、「空間」與「不對稱的平衡」。
當東方美學遇上西方花藝自由浪漫的色彩與層次，作品便像一首輕柔的春日詩句——簡約、細膩，卻情緒滿溢。這不只是一堂花藝課，更是一段慢下來與自己對話的時間。
這次的工作坊將在De-Lovely的Berkeley小院裡舉行，會備上茶與酒等待大家的到來。
A quiet study in space, line, and movement.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the meeting point between Japanese Ikebana and contemporary floral design — blending the quiet philosophy of negative space with the natural movement and softness of modern florals. Using antique tea cups as vessels and kenzan as our foundation, we’ll work with tulips, ranunculus, and delicate botanical elements, letting each flower stretch and unfold naturally. Through airy compositions and thoughtful placement, we’ll discover a different kind of floral beauty — one that feels restrained, sculptural, and quietly powerful.
Unlike traditional Western floral arrangements that emphasize fullness, Ikebana invites us to appreciate line, space, and the poetry of simplicity. And when this Eastern sensibility meets the romantic colors and textures of contemporary florals, the result feels almost like a spring poem — subtle, layered, and full of emotion.
More than a floral class, this workshop is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with yourself through flowers, light, and mindful creation.
The workshop will take place in De-Lovely’s front yard in Berkeley — an intimate gathering surrounded by flowers, soft light, tea, and wine.
