This Yosemite elopement from last week was sooo perfect for weather!

Two full days of a Yosemite elopement with absolutely perfect weather, and then the very next morning, as I was driving home, a massive storm rolled in. Lightning lit up the whole sky the entire drive back. Timing really is everything.

We explored just about every corner of the park. We started down in Yosemite Valley, then made our way up to Glacier Point, Taft Point, and Sentinel Dome. We hiked, we wandered, we watched sunrises and sunsets, and we stayed up for the stars.

These are just a few sneak peeks because I couldn’t wait to share. Yosemite is my favorite national park to photograph, and I’ve documented so many elopements here. Somehow every single one feels completely different, unique, and special. This one was no exception. 🌲✨

A little throwback to this absolutely incredible fall Oregon elopement I shot! This was such a perfect day hiking around the PNW, balancing on fallen logs to cross rivers, standing in front of massive waterfalls, and ending the day at this castle-like observatory!

The PNW is just such a beautiful place to elope 💚

She MADE her own wedding dress!!

Over the years I’ve documented a lot of weddings with handmade details. Art, florals, signs, all so personal and lovely. But this bride did something I’d never seen before: she made her own wedding dress!

Watching her walk through San Francisco City Hall in something she created with her own hands was unforgettable. Such an incredible level of skill, and such a special way to start a marriage.

Last week I documented the most beautiful micro wedding at Nestldown in Los Gatos, and it was my very first time shooting there. Wow, it did not disappoint. Towering redwoods, so many gorgeous spots to explore, and just an absolutely stunning nature venue all around. I can’t recommend it enough.

Here’s something I didn’t know before: you don’t need a giant wedding to get married at Nestldown. You can have an intimate midweek micro wedding with just your closest friends and family, and honestly it’s the perfect way to slow down and soak in this magical place together.

Imagine trading the 200-person guest list, the seating chart, and the year of stressful planning for this.

Just the two of you, out in the Moab desert, red rock as far as you can see and absolutely nowhere to be but right here together. Stars lighting up the night sky after the sun goes down.

Ditching the big wedding is not giving anything up, it is choosing a day that actually feels like you. No timelines, no obligations, just your love and one of the most jaw-dropping places on earth. If this is speaking to you, save it and let’s chat!

Happy anniversary to these two! 🤍

Two days of exploring Yosemite together, then a big celebration with all their friends and family at AutoCamp Yosemite on the third day. Honestly, the most perfect wedding.

They had the best of both worlds. Quiet days wandering the park just the two of them, saying their vows alone at sunset, and a pizza picnic in Yosemite Valley with a few of their closest friends. Then back to AutoCamp for a ceremony surrounded by everyone they love, followed by a reception full of pizza, s’mores, twinkle lights overhead, heartfelt speeches, and dancing with all their favorite people.

It was such a joy documenting every piece of it. Happy one year, you two!

What an absolutely perfect end to this San Francisco City hall wedding!
I absolutely love when couples rent classic cars on their wedding day. and doing their shoot with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background was just so classic San Francisco!

This beautiful wedding was my first time photographing at Sydalyn Hill in Felton, and it has instantly became one of my favorite venues. I love when a venue gives you so many different spaces to explore. It makes a gallery feel so full and balanced.

And this couple made it even more special. The bride is an incredible artist and made nearly every detail herself: the floral arch they married under, a stained glass welcome sign, the table numbers, the handkerchiefs and so much more. I was in awe all day.

A first look on a hilltop above a valley of redwoods. A pre ceremony poker game with their best friends. Vows in a sunlit redwood grove on a perfect warm summer day. First dances under huge trees hung with chandeliers and string lights. Lawn games with family, and an ice cream bar to close out the night. What a perfect day 🤍

Fun from start to finish, and I’m so grateful I got to be there documenting all of it 🤍
