posting the things that make me happy
and hopefully make you happy too 🤍 🌿

The past 3 months have whooped my ba-hootie. Taking a step away from the hustle-culture and falling back into what warms my heart in a medium I pour my soul into. Taking back more time. I love the people, experiences, relationships built, lives forever entangled in love that I was able to witness, and being able to run around with my camera capturing it all through my eyes and childish heart. It brings such joy. A slow moving, tender art that I get to share with you. To scoop up the soul and love of your day, your time, and delicately compose it leaves me without words. Hustle-culture is something I learned and it is not for me. I want to live my days slowly, spending more time with loved ones, nature, my ministry, and things that energize me. Because in the end, that’s how I will give my all back to you and more. Learning how to regulate my energy and time into my little business and personal life in a healthy way.

Post-ceremony vintage meat-cooler cool down

It was in the upper 90’s, mid-July, and humid.
An unforgiving but classic Kentucky summer day. The type where you stand in the shade, yet feel the sweat drip down your hairline. After a beautiful outdoor ceremony on an equine estate, the couple rushed straight from the spot where they said their vows and hustled with the wedding party to the farmhouse which had an old walk-in meat cooler. Me, quickly running after them. They packed in like sardines allowing the moment to set in. I was a fly on the wall with my camera watching them cheer together after waiting so long through covid for this day. And I was so thankful to feel the draft of that cold air spilling into the hallway where I stood.

Don’t worry.
No meat was in the cooler.
Just beer and white wine. 😜

With today’s high of 29°, I’ll take a Kentucky summer day right now
