So the question has often arose: Why do you take so many pictures or how did you get into photography? And everyday I add to this answer but here is some of the reasons....
Taking pictures for me is about:
The tear that runs down that mother's cheek b/c she is so proud of the moment that was captured of her tiny dancer. The memory that was captured for the mother to always cherish that lost her
son soon before she thought she would. The gift that the father gave to his son to show him how proud he was of his high school football career. The yearbooks that our kids can look back on and cry, laugh & treasure some of the best days of their lives. The first time he ran the football, that first touchdown, that interception, that first three pointer, that perfect toe-touch; that time he knocked spit from his opponents mouth, stealing home, that home run, winning that race by a step; THAT State Championship! The love & commitment of the coach of their players captured
The expression when and unexpected award is announced. Preserving the lasting bonds & friendships made on mission/youth trips. Hearing the newborn mother saying that she is falling in love over & over again.
