With kids, the best thing to do is to let them enjoy and be themselves. I will very often get close and try to not disturb whatever they are doing and (very well intended guests) would say “look at the camera! “ “Smile” etc… but what I love to do is just notice them carry on with whatever important things they are focusing on.
Some of my favorite photos of my own kid are not necessarily of him looking at the camera or even smiling- they capture him mid play or doing the most normal things that are not “picture worthy”. Turns out, years later its the things that you miss the most…

I had the privilege of watching these two together through two family weddings before 🤍

Third sibling. Third wedding. This family just keeps getting more special to photograph. I’ll hold this one close to my heart for a long time 🥹

September is always a wild ride! 3 events in the first week and two of them with couples and families that we’ve celebrated love with before ⭐️ Wedding days are of course always a joy but being surrounded by many familiar faces is always extra meaningful.
What a fun, gorgeous day with these two in the most beautiful place! 🫶🏻🍾

Photos are such wonderful things. For a fraction of a second, we can stop time.

And years from now, you can look at one and suddenly remember the weight of them in your arms.
The curls. The dimples. The tiny hand.
You really can!
A photograph is the closest thing we have to a time machine. 🤍
An absolute joy to see this sweet perfect family change and grow from year to year. Love you all so much 🫶🏻 Same time, same place, next year?
