Weird thing that has helped me as a parent…

Years of getting dirty, wet, muddy & totally gross covered in (you name it, I was covered in it) through college studying marine science and my early career in zoological animal care. 🦈 🐙

It was totally training for my hardest job:
Boy Mom.

Cause let’s be real, when you’re solo parenting two wild boys through three weeks of summer - things get loud.

The house gets dirty.
The kids get dirtier.
Life gets a bit feral.

And your benchmark of a good day is that the house didn’t burn down. 🤣

Well Rooted Produce & U-Pick in Bend is a gem in the Central Oregon Community.⁠

Their annual story starts here in the greenhouse - planting tiny seeds in late winter & nurturing the seedlings until they can be moved out to the fields in the spring.
⁠
A team of staff and volunteers keeps this farm running - all for the purpose of bringing fresh, healthy produce to Central Oregon residents. They are hardworking and dedicated folks - it is an honor to witness them in action. ⁠

The Well Rooted farm stand is open for the season & the U pick will open in summer. You don’t want to sleep on this one - it’s the perfect family activity to connect our kids with how fruits & vegetables grow!

Everyday beauty from my camera roll - lovely snippets of time spent exploring Bend, busy moments being a mama, and allll the projects that pop up when you are still settling into a new home.

My oldest is a jumping, laughing, vibrant bean.
… finding towers of toilet paper? Ok.
My youngest will be walking soon.
Mediterranean blue is a perfect back door color.
The first days of spring awaken my soul.
And I truly love a good meal.

☀️ Plus yellow - because hi, I’m Elise. And once you get to know me, you’ll never see the color yellow without thinking of me.

The theme for this session is home & neighborhood. This will be a documentary-leaning session to capture heartfelt moments with your family as they unfold. You’ll plan for ‘a good day’ - think your favorite Sunday pancakes, a stroll to the neighborhood park, or spring planting in your garden. I’ll do the rest. 📷
